Warhammer 40k

I just want the show to fail because the hobby doesn’t need any more people coming in and demanding changes while getting used as useful idiots for why we need female space marines. Autistic post I know.

While you guys were wailing and gnashing your teeth that the hobby has fallen and untold trillions must die, I was hooked on Storm of Iron. Could not get enough.

If there's any truly talented writer at Black Library, then IMO it's Graham McNeill.

It's Amazon, so of course they're gonna focus on the black squadmate over Titus. The Primaris armor still looks dumb but this scene is pretty cool.

Just finished the episode, I'm a little confused is this supposed to take place before or after SM2? It seems like they're going full exterminatus and Titus is just supposed to die there? Overall, pretty good, it satisfied that 40k itch. I also watched the Armored Core episode it was also pretty good even though I've never played the games.

It was nice and simple chaos killing. I think I need a second opinion on what exactly they were doing and the payload the ship sent down at the end
Mission Objectives:
Primus - Locate and destroy apostate relic
Secundus - Secure ordnance strike coordinates

Primarily they are there to destroy a heritic relic, that giant bird statue that was a Tzeentch Lord of Change. The statue would've acted like a portal allowing the warp to spawn demons, fuck with reality, make people go crazy, you name it. Their secdonary objective was to secure coordiantes for an ordnance strike. Though it doesn't show the actual payload I would suspect by the wording that it's just a giant fuck off bomb to make sure the entire structure is destroyed. They would have done so initially but we can see from the start they couldn't even get their navigation to work. No way a battlecruiser would be able to effectively target it from orbit until they cleared out whatever was fucking with their systems. With the statue gone they're free to bomb some heretics.

The only other thing it could be is a resupply pod. I don't think that's likely since the wording is an ordnance "strike" which is weird phrasing for ammo and guns. They predicted the whole squad to die so I doubt they would've planned on resupplying them after they complete their objective. I'm sure what they want us to assume will happen is Titus will 1v1000 the chaos cultists and once word gets out that two veteran marines are still alive they would swoop in to pick them up.

Primaris armor will never not look retarded and that short sucked, which is what I expect of anything Tim Miller is involved in.

Don’t focus on the protagonist of the biggest Warhammer advertisement in years, focus on a OC.

Didn't really care, he was cool. It helps that it actually portrayed Titus as the biggest badass in the group and the monologue built him up as the one kid who already had no fear.

The Primaris armor still looks dumb
You'll be happy to note that they finally patched in the OG helmet in SM2 as part of the dark angel skins. You don't need to buy it with actual cash either, Just get enough in game points.

This is explicitly after the SM2 campaign. He'll be fine.

Not even, literally look at what happened with the Fallout show. Fallout was fucked already but it reached a whole new level of autistic consoomer faggotry. My only hope is that enough writers don't compromise with the new wave of autism and change their writing to appease them, hopefully 40K is Grimdark enough to gatekeep enough of itself. Optimistic I know. On one hand I want it to succeed because it's made by passionate fans or at the very least directly by a passionate fan so people can understand what a (hopefully) good show is that Amazon is actually capable of producing (instead of "OH LAWD THEM RANGS). On the other hand I can feel a headache coming on at the amount of newfag autism that will come with the new show. Best case scenario? I can run over before it drops. Second best is what I already stated.

Also, this is the first time I've heard of this "Secret Level" and Tim Miller. I haven't really been around the internet for a while but after a quick search...is this some video game related "Love, Death, Robots" made by the same guy (how this man got around to be the executive producer of the Sonic movies after the fuck up that was Terminator Dark Fate is beyond me, I smell Jewery). I didn't even know it was the same fucker who did LDR among other things.

I think reason they got him for Sonic and Dark Fate (which lets be real even without his involvement would have sucked, cause this franchise was already in shit state post 2nd movie) Is cause dude was involved with the John Wick films.

GW's sins are like scarlet, but I still don't get why the Primaris are so hated. To me, it just sounds like "old thing good, new thing bad."
My pet theory is the primaris helmet looks too heroic to some people.

Primaris turned Space Marines from being an elite army that could combat anything with a wide assortment of tools, to every unit being designed for one job and one job alone. They became Eldar, but lost all their flavor. If they just updated the pre-8th units with a new scale and updated looks (see 10th edition and Heresy), it would be different, but they completely changed what space marines were supposed to be.

I think female Custodes could work. Imagine Emprah taking a day off after few thousand years of 911 lifestyle to have some fun (as much as He can have any fun), so to test some science He made a Custodian out of a girl. Then, He purposefully trained her wrong, as a joke.
