I mean that sounds immature but it’s really not a terrible thought experiment.Maybe Trump should outlaw stock compensation for C-level managers?
Would these execs do the same job if their stock awards were historically half of what they are now? Probably. But do we want the feds saying who can earn what, especially when the shareholders effectively have already agreed to the terms of compensation and have board member representing them on comp committees?
I’m not C suite and never will be, but I do really like my equity awards and RSU’s. That shit will make a worlds of difference if me or my spouse came into a chronic condition early into retirement.
