Secret Gamer Girl / SecretGamerGrrl / Googleshng / "Violet Hargrave" / Jacob Lawrence (Jake) Alley / Violet Cassandra Ocean - Delusional Zoe Quinn Stalker, Libelous Tweeter, Thirsty Gnome, Faux-Tranny Neckbeard Incel, Micropenis, "Known Troubled Person", Creator of "Massive vs the Masses", Self-Described "Noise Making Thing"; Lives in Niantic, CT

That dribble he wrote got me thinking about something I've often wondered: how exactly did he got caught up in CON and involved with people like Zoe? What connection did he have since it seems like he never really had popularity or a following?
I think the consensus is that he knew Katherine Cross.

The UN also invited the grifters to speak at one point.
GG is when life peaked for Jake. For a few brief moments, he had people that tolerated his presence and if it was dang, dirty whisper networks spreading misinformation those people would still be his friends and wrap yon maiden up in blankets like a burrito and feed her chili and hot chocolate.

The fact that CON was a doxing/life-ruination operation and it is the highlight of his life should be a reminder that for all we laugh at Jake being a stupid boob, he is fundamentally a very vindictive and cowardly man who got a kick at lashing out at people.
The only reason we ever even took an interest in him was he stood out even among the other Chelsay simps as an especially spiteful and petty little maggot.

[01/01/2015, 10:56:23 AM] Secret Gamer Girl: Chobitcoin, Brennan, and Roguestar in prison. Cernovich disbarred. TFYC… given whatever treatment you get in Canada for massive fraud. Lianna properly exposed and never able to find honest work again. The people doing this professionally cut off and at LEAST a big rattled by investigations. Rank and file GGers, scared straight from seeing all that.

And where is Jake today? Gnome wailing and being a sad little cowering fuck.

I take it he's still too much of a pussy to get back on Twitter? :story:
He never will, Bluesky has all his "friends" and they haven't blocked him (yet) so it's everything he dreamed of.
Despite all his talk about his Patreon drying up because he lost his Twitter and people stopped seeing his hard-hitting (yet soft in all the right places) journalism, I suspect even he knows that was never true.

It is amazing to me how so many of the men involved in the anti-gamer gate movement were just incels hoping that this could help them get laid. All of them who now despise Quinn for not giving them what they wanted, and who always have to beat around the bush like Jake just did when venting about their anger towards her.

I caught a bit of the Monday December 9th stream. I made it a couple hours before punching out.

I learned that Jake isn’t a fan of HP Lovecraft games because it’s old and tired and why do people keep referencing him? Still l, he played a couple different ones and was complimentary of the game that was the most in your face Lovecraft of them all. That’s Call of Cthulhu the game.

Jake has about six minutes of dead air at the start with a “starting soon” screen and music playing. I’m sure he had rushed home from his high paying job and had to scramble to set up for stream. Then, several minutes of him chatting on a still of his desktop background (the jrpg one) as he ducks around with steam and tries to get his first game started. Finally gets a game started after about 20 minutes of streaming.

00:24:0 Wii disaster. He had one fall off a table and the game kept going for another couple minutes. He’s impressed with how sturdy these consoles are built.

2:39:15 anything with hp Lovecraft is creatively bankrupt

2:40:00 Jake is playing a Lovecraft card game but is baffled by the mechanics. He quits to the main menu and says: “what is this? Is this basically magic? The tutorial I skipped.” The game makes a lot more sense after the tutorial.

2:51:25 Jake finally tries the tutorial. Comments “why does the tutorial voice sound like a 900 number?” He’s constantly amused by the woman voicing the tutorial.

3:05;00 6 watchers in his stream. This may be a new high water mark.

3:56:00 ish. Jake is playing Call of Cthulhu. Pleasantly surprised that there aren’t too many overt Lovecraft references in a Lovecraft game. It’s more talk focused than action. (He doesn’t know much of the lore so loads of names and places fly over his head)

Jake has completed going through his Steam library so he’s looped back around and is back at the start of the alphabet. The ride never ends.

And he very often has much more than that. I've seen him get up to like 20 minutes before even starting to try to load a game.

I mean, he's not wrong, but I'm sure he's right for the wrong reasons on this one. (That Darn Cat, etc)
Even the Lovecraft spinoffs from HPL's own personal friends kind of sucked.

Yeah, this is "season 4" because he already went through the alphabet THREE TIMES. But don't worry, this time is the time it'll become a paying job.

He should stop buying so much shovelware. Look, I have nearly 800 games on my Steam wishlist, 53 games on my GOG wishlist, and other odds and ends, but I curate it for what I like and find interesting. I also avoid any shovelware and games that plain suck.

Didn't those connections result from his SecretGamerGrrl twitter account? My headcanon:
  1. GamerGate blows up.
  2. The counter-narrative blows up, insisting that sexism and misogyny in gaming is a huge pressing issue. Tens of thousands of twitter tards are suddenly willing to believe and promote anything that validates this narrative.
  3. Yon bald gnome creates yon Twitter account, and aggressively pitches it as: "Look at me! I'm one of those dainty teenage gamer girls who's being violently oppressed by all the misogyny! Help me fight gamer Nazis and defend m'lady CHELSAY's honor by following, liking, and retweeting my 'shngs!"
  4. They do, and he becomes one of the biggest anti-GamerGate accounts.
  5. He is invited into a private chatroom of fellow anti-GamerGate twitter spergs.
  6. CHELSAY! joins the chatroom, is given the reigns, and rebrands it as CON.
So basically, Jake was there with just the right grift at just the right time. His one "success" in life.
Then - as usual with everything else in Jake's life - he fucks it all up by going Full Autist and creeping out Chelsea and attacking her friends like "Rakasha". It also didn't help that he claimed he was a "busty redhead girl" yet showed up at cons and shared hotel rooms with people in her circle while looking like Santa's retarded hick brother. Jake didn't shave off his gnome beard and wear ugly wigs like all the other troons until he was already booted out of CON.

This "Bluesky doubled my Patreon" thing has to be a put-on. Yet again, that's entirely due to one whale whose name probably ends in "Alley".

The only question is whether the put-on is for the general audience to prime the pump, or for Mom to prove he doesn't need to get a job.

Is this the first we heard of Jake driving to New York? I bet there's a fun story behind that one.

Thanks as usual to @kazuhiro for your Bluesky recaps, it's been rough ever since we got another firehose of gnome slurry opened up.

I swear though, it's downright painful watching Jake spiral right back into the social media bug zapper. It's like BossmanJack getting magnetically drawn to the reroll button by pure lines of crack force.

"stomping around not paying [specific slur]" that slur would/could include specific word like retards and many other things. Could be untalented hacks, nepo-hires, twitter trannies or any combination of them. Who knows why Jake doesn't get pity-work anymore.

I can’t imagine any circumstance under which a publisher would pay a bunch of writers and editors to create new work rather than just use the old stuff. Given that apparently half the writers are troons, I’m getting a mental image of the publisher tearing his hair out and yelling, “Another one caught with CP? Fuck it, we’ll start from scratch.”

Springboarding off of Jake's fantasy story with more fantasy: what if the (possibly imaginary) editor was fed up with the literal process of paying troons? I mean, they apparently had some difficulty paying Jake because he wouldn't dox himself to his employers or something ridiculous like that.

He's mentioned at various times how he doesn't want to dox himself to employers, all his government info is a mess because of the name changes, and so on. But here's a particularly good quote I found on this from 2018, with bonus references to his famous GaymerX appearance:
Here's where my personal experience gets too niche. I'm trans but I'm not at a point where I can really present myself properly as a woman in public, so when I do public speaking stuff I do it as Clark Kent, but I don't want my work under that name, so I make games/connections as the actual me (and then I have stalkers so there's my actual proper name disconnected from both and weird workarounds and go-betweens to get paid and it is all a MESS). So... lately when I hit conventions, I'll do things like book a bunch of panels under Clark Kent, where I then totally neglect to plug any of the projects I am actually working on, or give anyone my actual twitter handle/e-mail, and fail to meet up with industry friends when I have downtime because I'm shy and awkward and honestly would prefer none of them to associate me with this look.

Note the part about "weird workarounds to get paid". I bet ALL gaming troons are like this, living under fanciful names, no bank accounts or anything like that. The editor probably had a meltdown after the Nth time he got told to buy some obscure cryptocurrency or Paypal a "donation" to Onlyfans in order to pay some smelly geek $2.75 for his splatbook entries. Accounts Payable must have been ready to resign en masse.

Maybe he even had to pay this out-of-pocket and then ask for an expense reimbursement or something, since the company wasn't set up for weird miscellaneous payments.

So random PSA because I keep seeing people ask in regards to a certain individual who should be kicked off this service forever- What does it mean when someone like me points out that a specific transphobe is extremely dangerous?

In my experience, the worst thing most people on a site like this can

imagine a dedicated hatemonger is bombarding a target with hateful messages. Insults, self harm, etc. I had a REALLY tame example here, and it was flagged instantly, so just assume some naughty words in a post I guess.

A few people with more imagination or experience might also be aware that there

are also creeps who might attach images or videos to posts like that with intense graphic content.

As far as bad actors go, that's nothing. Back on the other website, when things were particularly nasty in 2014, I would frequently wake up to see 99+ unread messages, sit down, report and block, and

maybe 4 hours later get through all the drive-by shouting and have a usable feed again. Sometimes longer. But any individual there, whatever, you shouted hate through a burner and took 5 seconds out of my day.

The sort of people who coordinate attacks like that, highlighting an account name to sic

the hordes on are the actual attack vector worth worrying about there. There really aren't people out there who go around seeking out trans people or whatever to shout slurs at and post obscene imagery to, just one by one, on their own. There's people who quietly point at a target, and those who...

attack who they're pointed at.

I would not necessarily call everyone who does the pointing dangerous, though. It depends who they've cultivated as attackers. Most well-established people who make a habit of this have an audience of edgy teenagers or sad lonely channers who, like most people, can't

really think of much to do to try and hurt a stranger over the internet than the people I'm addressing here. They're going to direct a flood of hateful comments at someone, and hey, that can really mess your day up, make you waste several hours blocking and reporting, but that's not the danger line.

The people who are actually really dangerous behave in exactly the same way as the people who just toss out a name or screenshot a post with no context, knowing that their audience will "get them," but the audience they have includes people who are a hell of a lot more creative about how to attack.

You've got revenge porn (that's when someone acquires/fakes sexual imagery of someone and distributes it widely). You've got SWATing (that's when someone calls the police, claims a violent crime is happening at the target's address, and maybe adds some sound effects, named for SWAT teams). You've

got the rare dedicated few who will physically go to the target's house and threaten the target, or physically attack them, or deface their property, do things to pets, set their home on fire, or break in and attack them.

I am personally familiar with all of the above being done to people I care

about. Because a dangerous bigot pointed them out to a sufficiently motivated audience.

What you must understand, if you're an onlooker when people are discussing this, and ESPECIALLY if you are maintaining a platform like this one where someone is habitually directing eyes at various trans people

is that you don't see the attack happen on the site. You just see the shot-caller pointing the finger. To know what happens after that finger gets pointed, you need to watch what happens to the person the finger is pointed at, or have some basic level of faith that experts in stochastic terrorism,

(who you can often recognize as people writing this sort of 101 explainer constantly, or working for well-known national or international anti-hate organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center or GLAAD) KNOW WHAT THE HELL WE ARE TALKING ABOUT when we call these people dangerous.

Personally at

least, I don't toss labels like that around lightly. And while there WAS a time where I'd have a bunch of dossiers good to go with all the relevant news articles and documentation to show you how multiple people's lives were put in jeopardy from a given scumbag's behavior, I've had to move a lot.

And if that's still too hard to follow... OK you know Death Note? Picture Death Note except instead of writing people's names down in a magic notebook creeps right'em down on high traffic social media pages, and instead of magic heart stoppages there's just roving gangs of bigots who bookmark those.

This reminded me that I had an invoice I needed to send in. It took me about eighty seconds worth of Google Docs and composing an email. Life is so much simpler when you're not a fucking retard.
