No, I’m not trained in psychology, I’ve not given her tests, whatever. Everybody here who is a long time watcher has seen her go through every one of these items, many times. I can still use deductive reasoning to see that Chantal has a very disabling personality disorder that aligns very closely with borderline; one that she has yet to seek help for. She even knows that she’s mentally off, she just won’t get herself diagnosed and learn coping strategies and to not trust her instincts. If any woman could benefit from a Muslim patriarchy it’s Chinny, who should have to ask Salah before she does anything and should be prevented from said thing after he says no. But saying no to Chantal doesn’t work either, she wasn’t raised with that idea. .

I can only speak to my own observations, but to me its not that she doesn't have genuine emotions, it's that she's so immature and emotionally unintelligent that what she feels may be what she thinks she feels, but it isn't.
That was a horrible way to put that but let me explain:
She does this with her "hunger" too.
Chantal lacks experience with hunger and often says she's "really hungry" when what she is actually feeling is "not full". This also means on the very rare occasion where she may feel genuinely hungry she will lose her mind and equate it to starvation.
This applies to everything she feels.

I believe her emotions can be genuine, but I also think they're too deeply rooted in her own retardation to be real.

I think that Chantal can be both things: a manipulative cunt, and very rarely, someone who speaks her personal truth. I heard her have a `truth`` in her `I Feel Violated`` livestream. She made the statement ``I hurt myself everyday...`` It is her teeter-tottering on the brink of self-awareness that has made Chantal such a long-lived cow. People love a redemption arc, and at least for me, it has been maddening to watch her get sooo close to changing the arc of her story only to give up again. And again. A veritable page turner. Or perhaps I am just an eternal optimist and the perfect victim of her manipulations...

Sorry Bruv, I enjoy a lot of your posts so know I'm not just hating but you absolutely are the kind of crowd she is playing to.
She is not having moments of clarity or experiencing any kind of self awareness in these moments, nor are any of these moments her stepping closer to a redemption arc or any kind of growth or maturity.

As kids we're taught the "I'm Sorry" script; we learn what people want to hear from our mouths and see on our faces so we can get them to move on and let us get back to playing with the other kids. As we get older and learn empathy said script evolves and (this is a great oversimplification but) is used sincerely, insincerely and selfishly.
Sincerity is obviously when you feel the actual emotions and are genuinely sorry, insincerely is when you're just saying the right words to get it all to go away and selfishly is when you are genuinely sorry but not for what you did, just that you got caught and now feel really bad for yourself.

So let's bring this back to Chantal and her "moments of clarity"

These are just her Sorry Scripts tailored to a specific audience. There is no sincerity or self reflection, no actual want to change or grow, it's all just what she knows her audience wants to hear so that they'll move on or even better, believe that a true redemption arc is on the horizon (sorry dude) and keep watching/funding.
Where Chantal has the edge over most is that she has people messaging her everyday thinking that they can be her savior, her guiding light off this path of self destruction, and write those perfect scripts for her. She's parroting everything they tell her, knowing its what people want to hear, with no intention or actual thought behind it. The added bonus is when she says things like "I get what you guys were trying to tell me now" then all those little hanger-ons feel like they're getting through, making a difference and being listened to and will stay hooked to supporting her (emotionally and/or financially) for that feeling of validation.

When she says "I'm a spoiled brat and I hate it." she's echoing something she's been told (during the Nadar arc she'd have some pretty cruelly worded "moments of clarity" and you could tell she was simply repeating observations Nadar threw at her) and how she knows you want her to feel about it. She doesn't actually hate it or ever want to change it; she hates doing anything for herself and loves to keep creatures like Peetz around specifically to cater to her every whim. The "selfish sorry" here is that she hates that she's criticized for it.
If you ever catch a glimpse of genuine frustration when she's talking about her attitude, actions or flaws she's never upset for the reason you want; she's upset that she has to address it. She's upset that you're yelling at her, or telling her what to do, or suggesting she's wrong, She's upset that you're not praising her, or giving her sympathy, or taking her lies at face value.
This is why she'll never change or have her redemption arc; she doesn't want to.
