There never has been a $50 support goal, even when he was only totaling tips for it. Ever since he caved to request to put up a visible daily goal, it was $100, inflation of flouncing from twitch in a ragequit drove it up to $150, verbal taint tickling by the fat tranny and his cokeboy sidekick got it pushed up all the way to $200 and everything counting, then when that was an obvious immediate failure, it was dropped to all in $150, so that was the start of the end. I do think most streamers see the people typing in chat as grey text that sometimes sub or donate money. Too many people come and go and it's not worth to pay attention to every new frog. The streamer will favor the long-term subs or the people donating to say something; but even the motherfuckers making millions a year (never donate to streamers, kids) still have an eye for what the mood of the chat is. I might be giving them too much credit, but they can clearly see and react to the general energy the chat is giving and they can turn the noise into something entertaining.

Despite having a slow chat he cannot see his chat as people showing different levels of enthusiasm towards what he is doing. If he can, he doesn't give a fuck. For example: one of his mods eternal_napalm shows up to his PoE2 stream talking about how much Phil will struggle with the game, how much he plays PoE1, talking about gems, skills and shit. Hell, even I looked at the retard and thought "Damn, this guy really likes this game". Maybe play into it, Phil? Ask him for advice? Feign ignorance to farm engagement? I know getting him on a call would be too much, but maybe make it seem like you appreciate the guy modding AND showing up to hype the new playthrough? Nah. Low support, time to drop the game.

Phil should not have the chat on a monitor to the side like he does. He very visibly looks at the chat, reads the messages and just turns back to gameplay while ignoring them. And for what? To sing christmas songs... and then more christmas songs... kills a boss and brags about being easy... makes a scat joke while killing a pig... and then asks for money to do the Old hunters DLC. It's so bizarre how much he looks at the chat and how little he actually talks to anyone.

Put the fucking chat closer to the monitor the game is on so you can ignore people without being 100% obvious. Might give the impression that you are not just looking at the other monitor, searching for tips while skimming through chat searching for the high ranking dents.

I haven't tuned into a stream in a minute and wow the ending to that stream was pathetic. I gotta go guys seeya, alright I really have to go now, I mean it guise I really gotta go now please tip. Then does the daily wrap live at the behest of one dent who asked him to in chat even though it was painfully obvious he wanted to do it to stall more for tips, and said multiple peepul wanted me to do it. The whole wrap sounded like a kids report for school where they have to meet a certain quota for words and just babble and repeat themselves for a few pages. Never expected the fall out to hit this fast from the streak ending holy fuck man.

The amount of bluffs being called were amazing.
It has all started with "I gotta go at this specific time to hang with the wife" that has been throughout the day for the past few days I started watching again.
Then proceeds to stay OT even on a day stream for 20 minutes or more

Next bluff being "I wont do the DLC unless people support"
Then he goes and starts it anyway. Rushing through even like he's a Bloodborne expert.

Last was the "Im going just goin to go and not do the daily wrap live if no one is going to donate". And then starts doing his daily wrap, and getting no money.

It ended with another "I don't think tomorrow's streams will hit any stream goal" which I remember being said a lot during his King era where he mentions how his retro reacts rarely hit the goals, as they were gettin met every fuckin week for a month straight. So I think he might be tellng the truth for once here.

This has been the best DSP content in months.

Problem is there's tens of thousands of streamers who are more versed at the game and more entertaining than Phail. The only "entertainment" he provides playing games like this is seeing how many games designed for m+kb he can play on a controller. At this point I'd watch an entire stream of him attempting to play something like a Total War game on a controller just to see how much of a trainwreck it is.
