n what way would this make Russ look good?

This is exactly the playbook of a high-school tattletale crybully. "Remember how the principal came down on my side? Don't want that again? Best give me what I want, it's reasonable."
I believe this is what Russtard was thinking. The judge threatened sanctions, so he through out "Oh yeah, Josh was sanctioned for costs already! See judge! I already won!". He really thinks the other ruling proves his own case, and will bring it up anyway he can.

I also dont believe a judge is going to grant a debtors exam for $300. Does this judge even have the authority to grant that exam as part of this case? This isnt the court that awarded the fees, and even if not paid, 2 emails are not much of an "attempt to collect". I'm sorely lacking in my "collect fees" legalese.

If he did, it absolutely will. If he didn't........but I doubt Null or Hardin would be that careless.
My layman's take is that the fees might not have to paid if the case is under appeal, but the verbiage seems a bit ambiguous. Regardless, any unpaid balance is probably not an F-U move by Dear Leader and Hardin because they aren't the type that play fast and loose with the law.

To put it more bluntly: This seems like a desperate move by RG to regain control of his lawsuit. He cant stand situations over which he has no control. With the judge taking control of the case and imposing actual deadlines that must be met, RG doesn't have as much control over the case as he's had and it's driving him wild enough he's willing to throw metaphorical shit at the wall to see what sticks.

It's just Russ Tattling to the teacher "But He Did Something Baaddd Too!!!" This is the heart of Russ's understanding of how the law and the world works. It's all rooted in grade school tattling and getting authority figures to make others treat him as he feels he deserves to be treated.

I think it's less that and more of a "why did you call me a whoremonger when you yourself has partaken of whoredom" type of argumentation. He's done it before - why do you say I'm wasting time when you're filing this?

Beautifully written response by Hardin, making Russhole look like the slack-jawed Grinch that he is.

It also makes me wonder if this means Hardin and Null DIDN'T pay, or else simply producing a reciept for the court should get Russ's request instantly denied.

But there is likely legal gamesmanship that I am completely unaware of going on in this and I shouldn't read payment or non-payment into the reason a perfect response showing Slurpy to be an asshole should be submitted, and THEN a reciept produced to shut Strokey the Snowflake up for good on the updated day.

why didn't hardin point out that the judgement russ is complaining about is from a different court so it's irrelevant anyway? it seems intentional to leave that out but i can't into law
It's unclear to me how this works, maybe one of our law-aware-people can weigh in.
The final information for the amount came from the district court. So does that mean the district court is responsible for this or is it the circuit court he should be complaining to.

Based on Hardin's comments I assume that it would be the district court but only once a final judgement happens, which the circuit court kicking it back is not a final judgement.

This is a better move perhaps, basically saying "what the fuck is this, give me time to figure it out" even if you know you paid (or didn't pay).

I only know about this from Quasi-mode Rick, but I assume even a legal debt like this isn't handled with a "fuck you pay me over venmo" email but there are more official methods.

When exactly did Hardin become involved in the case?

I'm shit at law, but didn't Hardin just say that it can only be enforced when the case is over, and until then Null might get some awards (like what the judge hinted now), so it makes no sense to complain now? This means he doesn't plan to pay until the end.

So the answer is no, it wasn't paid.

Good enough argument, but in this particular case responding with a request for an extension seems unnecessarily risky. Why not file a quick response that payment should be deferred until final judgement, or offset by possible sanctions against Russ, and do the main argument about timing and against the need for opening books? If that gets denied THEN file for an extension. This seems like putting your most annoying foot forward first.

It was an entertaining read for us, nicely written by Hardin. But the judge is already in a slapdown mood with Russ and has shown his willingness to extend that to Hardin without merit in a "both sides annoy me" manner. Don't draw fire when Russ is already lined up in his sights.

Lol. YOU STOLE FIZZY LIFTING DRINKS, YOU GET NOTHING! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

I get the sense that Shit Lips is both losing interest in the case and is just trying to wring out any victory over Null that he can (possibly at certain parties advice), and is also just cheek-slapping the judge with his cock to waste time and see if anything sticks. Which the judge absolutely deserves, because he already did his big blustering "do this or ELSE" and then cucked on it, so why should the inhuman homunculas fear him or take his threats seriously? I wouldn't.
