UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

Lol bruh wat?
For the first, scroll up. I gave him a jury hypothetical, and he said juries decide.

For the second, he has a lawyer in PA bc he was arrested there. The murder charges are in NY. NY is requesting extradition. Mangione is fighting it. They will lose that fight.

His lawyer is not admitted in NY and won't be running his defense in NY. His lawyer is in a firm of 2, with a practice that features criminal law but also includes family law and civil matters. He is essentially local counsel, appearing for limited and immediate purposes of keeping his client from hurting his case and to argue against extradition. Mangione will have a more prominent attorney for his actual defense, and one admitted to practice in NY, with plenty of relevant experience and a team in the jurisdiction where he is charged. Capisce?

I mean they aren't wrong.
This guy is only a hero to losers.
Even if you agree, spending days yelling into a void being mad does nothing to change anything. Once a consensus is created online there isn’t much point to slapfighting over it as if people will suddenly go ‘hey, I was wrong!’ Certainly not to the point of 30 posts per day. Just shake your head and bask in your superiority or whatever.

It seems to be the case that a majority of people, especially normies, are losers because they side with Luigi or at least don't condemn him. Which by group consensus definitions would mean they're not losers, and it's the people pearl clutching about a villainous CEO that are the losers.

the outright sociopathy that is common in corporate executives is shocking. you sentenced a man's child to death, for good or ill, and you cannot understand why he might wish death upon you?

fools
Before the shooting, your average health insurance exec didn't think twice about the scores of threats they received every day. Now they probably can't look at any given member of the public without wondering of the scenario described happened to one of their loved ones.

That paranoia can last the rest of their lives for all I care.

I would like to ask you all to pray for Luigi Mangioni. He needs strength and courage now more than ever. His strongest weapon is his rightful status as a folk hero, but he goes against a machine that is hellbent on grinding him down and ripping that away from him
don't just pray

don't go and murder people

but maybe consider that the machine is both incompetent and malicious. it needs to be reworked.

what will you do about? post?

na but they are fatherless because some rich little bratty shit couldn't fuck his sorority sluts anymore.
Also coming back to this part of the post - I think you're deliberately minimising something.

From what we've been able to work out about Luigi, his injury-aggravated spondylolithesis could have been treated, but he was constantly subjected to back and forth about treatment from insurance and currently is living with chronic pain and is in some way able to have sex, which could have been prevented with a speedier or more straightforward health intervention. On top of that, he's now been kicked off his parents' insurance due to his age, but any new insurance he started with would view it as a pre-existing condition and refuse to treat it.

It's not just about fucking "sorority sluts" (or "fraternity sluts" as the case may be), but also about love and companionship and maybe starting a family. Unless there's something very wrong with you, love, intimacy, companionship and family are the most important things in life. Older people can adjust to being single but he's 26 - who among us wasn't preoccupied about finding the one or having some fun and meeting someone new at that age? From his perspective many of the things that give his life any sort of meaning or purpose or chance of long term happiness have been taken away as a result of corporate greed. And to reduce all that down to "he can't fuck some sorority sluts" is telling of the sort of psychopathy that people like Brian Thompson exhibited, reducing people's lives and hopes and dreams into figures on a spreadsheet. Figures that could be crossed off to make line go up.

Goddamn, sometimes sex isn't behind everything. If he was that down bad he'd just hire hookers or trans out
The guy literally "went crazy" because his spine surgery and couldn't have sex anymore. Many people who knew him said that was the moment he snapped.

I just find it funny that this guy is everything the online success envy left hates, he's a trust fund baby, a "giga chad" looks wise, lives on "stolen Hawaiian land", Ivy educated, nepo baby, tech bro, alt-right bro, ect. ect. and the only reason they ignore all that is because he shot a father in the back and that father happened to be a ceo of a company and industry they don't like. It's very childish and low IQ.

He actually acted on what most "extremists" are too chickenshit to do. He found a man that was making the world a worse place: a health insurance fatcat that made his fortune off of denying coverage to 30% of his clients that needed it (the literal highest claim denial rate in the country) and still found a way to pinch more pennies by having a goddamn computer algorithm screen those claims. He made an example of that man, no collateral damage to bystanders.

He may not be a "hero", but his actions made the world a slightly better place. The only people missing Brian Thompson are his naive family and the UnitedHealthcare shareholders that just lost 12% value in their stock. Fuck both of those groups, they can owe both of their successes to the needless suffering and death that UnitedHealthcare caused, under Thompson's stewardship.

George Washington tilting his head back and forth like a dog when it sees something confusing while hearing the phrase "violence doesn't change anything"
It's pretty funny seeing people invoke the founding fathers or God when people like Brian Thompson are the types to get tarred and feathered or nailed to a tree for treachery.

Again, because you're reducing it to casual sex - that man took away Luigi's chance of being a father and having children of his own, or finding a partner and becoming a father through adoption. And that man also took people's children away from them, too, and left many children fatherless or motherless. Read this post:
Anyway, I spent the weekend helping out with the kids that lost their mother to cancer thanks to insurance fuckery. Have you ever heard a toddler asking over and over for her mommy without any real comprehension that Mommy is never coming back? Have you ever seen a 6 year old that already knows how to cry silent tears, all alone on his own, because he doesn’t want to be a bother to anyone?

We didn’t talk about The Adjuster. Nobody brought him up because entering that house is like walking into a cloud bank of grief. I don’t even know if my dead woman’s husband even knows about it because he’s not really keeping up with the headlines right now. But I guarantee you, that CCTV hooded grin was on my mind all the time as I folded a dead mother’s laundry and boxed it up, as I made macaroni and cheese that her toddler wouldn’t eat anyway because it wasn’t how Mommy made it, when I cleared out old casserole dishes and takeout trash and rotting condolences bouquets.
Does that make you feel anything? Did it make your heart hurt? Did it make your eyes water? What was your emotional reaction to it?
