sorry if late, but this is actually a thing that's been happening for decades. They advertise the reward but don't go out of their way to specify that you have to call the tip line and not 911 to claim the reward. Basically the way the reward works is based on who makes the arrest and how it is processed in the chain of custody.In yet another demonstration of what they really think of any commoner dumb enough to unironically shill for & support them, TPTB is now trying to get out of paying the reward money to the snitch. If you call 911, your call gets forwarded to the nearest 911 call center and therefore to the local law enforcement. They then make the arrest and extradite the guy back to the jurisdiction that put it up. The reward is invalidated because the arrest was called into the local law enforcement agency and they didn't have a reward on it.
