Personally I like some Shuffle music.

Shuffle had some good tracks. This one I enjoyed personally. Gives me a nostalgia retro vibe.

Unfortunately it's tempered with a heavy dose of millenial writing for the dialogue.

That Mario movie with Chris Pratt was awful.

It wasn't perfect, the girlboss Peach bullshit was the main issue, but otherwise it was pretty good. I also don't like the voice actors being replaced, and some general characterization issues with everyone else did exist (what the hell did they do to Toad), but I liked it anyway.

I liked the Sonic film too, but less so. It was a mistake not going fully animated imo.

The first one gave me enough Micheal bay transformers vibe to make me skip out on 2 & the knuckles show. They really had no faith that sonic alone would put buts in seats. I think Jim carry is just a tad too goofy (also doesn’t help I hate the super drone aesthetic for his badniks). I wonder if it’s a Paramount mandate that they must have a human sidekick or more likely aping off transformers formula for success.

You know what's funny? Sonic can have great media outside of games, but Mario's bread and butter IS their games. That Mario movie with Chris Pratt was awful. Meanwhile, I could enjoy Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog for its goofy animation and Sonic Boom for its self-depreciation, self-aware dryness. I'm surprised the first Sonic the Hedgehog live action film did well enough to warrant two sequels.

Nigger I enjoyed the Super Show cartoon with Lou Albano and Danny Wells a fair bit for the absurdity and 80's/90's celebrities just hamming it up awkwardly, in terms of media outside the games but I will side with @SSj_Ness (Yiffed) that the Mario movie wasn't that bad. The one advantage that movie had was it being fully animated so they could make the visuals and comedic timing pop out more, and while girlboss Peach moments were grating, the rest was okay.

One thing the two movies do share in common though is that the main villain is definitely the highlight of it all, Carrey and Black's performances are killer.

But on the topic of the Sonic 3 movie, I will likely go and watch it just to ramble about it afterwards even if Shadow's tale has been milked to death at this point. The Christmas movies promotional spoof shit is amusing though, never thought I'd see Sonic spoof Die Hard of all things.

Sonic shuffle was so close to being good. Art direction was fucking great and I wish more sonic games used that kind of wacked out cel shading of the adventure models in that game.

So now that the dust has settled, what are your thoughts on Shadow Generations? I'm disappointed that there are no guns and that the actual Shadow game doesn't have more representation(same with other games, less games should mean 2 or 3 levels per game), but otherwise it looks...good? It's still a boost game, but it seems to have a middle ground where it sometimes feels like a proper Gen 6 or Gen 7 3D Adventure-esque platformer. Might be worth a pirate.

Port of sonic generations has pointless censorship and changes to the US release, shadow genrations is a good expansion and has some more competent level design, though some stages are from AFTER generations in the timeline it's happening at the same time as generations. One could probably say "by erasing the past the future also ended up in the void" which is what it seems to be implying by the stages being present.

The game is Unfortunately Using Kernel Level Anticheat effectively making it unplayable on The steam deck and on other Linux Machines. Tis a shame as I was looking forward to playing it on my PC instead.

New DLC level for Shadow Gens came out and it was meh. It's a decent level, but it's only one act and two challenges. Plus the level is more focused on spectacle, there's some alternate pathways for sure but it only clocks in at three minutes (with an unskippable cutscene midway that's about a minute long). I was excited when I beat act "1" because I thought I saw Green Hills from the movies in the portal and was thinking we'd get an act 2 that was going around there but alas. Plus no leaderboard support, no Doom Wings AND no ability to use the movie skin elsewhere

I played All Stars Transformed for a little bit and it was O.K. at best. Then again I played the 3DS version that was prone to crashing a lot because the bug testers couldn't be fucked to do their job properly.

Transformed was alright for a while, but the rest is so-so.

I just hope this one won’t be just Team Sonic Racing 1.5, but not getting my hopes up too much.

All Stars Transformed on PC maybe the best kart game you can buy. You get extra characters and runs at 60fps+ unlike the console versions which are locked at 30fps.

Hope this new one is more like that, then Team Sonic Racing.

Probably the racing game counterpart of Sonic Speed Battle - conceptually, at least. Like throwing in Sonic Prime, Boom, IDW characters etc since 'multiverses' is the current 'thing' in multimedia franchises now.
