He certainly hasn’t made any money on the open market with his songs so he has to rely on legal trickery to try and get paid for them.

It reminds me of another legal cow Acerthorn. He sues for copyright but it looks like he makes zero dollars from his content and wants statutory damages because he can’t show anyone paying for his junk. It’s not that our little site has hurt either market, it’s that they produce content no one wants.

Hardin may also legitimately not know the status of that award? That would have been under Skordas, would it not?
as @davids877 posted earlier, mr. hardin was granted admission on november 1st, 2023.
greer was awarded costs of $225.25 by the circuit court on december 12th, 2023.
he was awarded an additional $58.77 (for a total of $284.02) by the district court on december 26th, 2023.
skordas had exited stage left, harman had made an appearance, and hardin had been admitted pro hac vice.

incidentally, the district court denied the $505 filing fee that greer asked for, since he never actually paid it (lol, poor):

In the legal sphere, the weeks before, of, and after Christmas are totally dead. No one’s in the courts or the offices, and if they are, no case work is being done, it’s all administrative. I think it’s safe for him to assume that the December 23 deadline isn’t an actual deadline and that he isn’t expected to really respond until January 6, 2025. Doesn’t matter that Rusty is a hobgoblin that hates the baby Jesus, Hanukkah starts the evening of Christmas Day this year, and we all know which calendar the courts respect.

Cases work serially for Russ, but also like closing brackets or code tags. He will totally claim he thought that since this matter of the $225 is on hold, everything else stops. Until Hardin has provided his rebuttal to the motion for a financial discovery or the judge orders it, nothing moves forward.
Unfortunately, ass-face has a bug in his legal code that results in an infinite loop of retardation.

It’s not that our little site has hurt either market, it’s that they produce content no one wants.
Let's be totally honest here: we ARE the hardship market for this crap. Legit who the fuck would pay money to listen to Russ slurp his way through a song, or Acerthorn gobble to the greatest hits?

Amusingly, if either of them, by some Satanic miracle, managed to get a market for their crap, how they treat us would very likely be how they'd treat their fans and customers. And unlike us, those people don't have rules against messing with lolcows.

Hardin is completely screwed if Greer files to Compel, any other deadlines can probably be retroactively extended after such a filing anyways.

You realise that Greer views this thread you fucking retard? Stop trying to help him with your faggot takes, especially if you're not being paid to be his fucking lawyer.

Someone missed the joke.
Autism abhors a subtlety.

Communication by semaphore is my preferred method of humourous communication. Just saying.

Edited to add: And by semaphore I mean the pretty flag waving and not the variable that is changed(e.g., incremented, decremented, toggled)depending on programmer-defined conditions, used to control access to a common resource by multiple processes in a concurrent system.

Can the poll be updated to ask whether Greer will meet the deadline or not? I know the judge definitively told Greer to submit his shit but I don't think there has been a single deadline in this case that Greer hasn't missed. I put it at a 50/50 shot he blows of the 16th deadline, and if he makes it it'll just be like two witnesses and a screenshot of the google drive page.

Honestly I think legal advice is a bad way to put it.
I have seen a lawyer on occasion, so I like to evaluate these cases like a game of chess.
Part of chess is understanding your opponent's best possible move.
So when I say without a law education Greer could motion to compel to file as a way of both getting Hardin in trouble and simultaneously extending his own deadlines. I hope Hardin is prepared for it, but in this case it's probably unavoidable.
In other words, I find it very disrespectful that you would publicly say that my legal strategizing is a joke.

I don't think there's really any debate over this. He'll file something the morning of the day after with everything backdated to deadline day (or with the dates cropped out), and no one will care.
Next week's deadline is just between the parties, so we won't hear anything unless Hardin has to file something on the 17th letting the court know that Greer dun goofed again.
For the one on the 23rd, we'll see.
