Reminder that if you are given a pardon by the POTUS you are no longer protected by the 5th Amendment. You have been forgiven after all, so you have no reason to hold back testimony of your crimes and try and argue for a defense (you don't need it, you already got off) which means that unless you reject the pardon you can be made to provide testimony of all your crimes and as such fuck over any accomplices you had.

I don't really understand this line of logic. What would keep Hunter from just lying or feigning forgetfulness? Like sure you can put him on the stand but you can't make him take a truth serum. And even if we are pretty sure he is lying, wouldn't it be really bad optics and a bad precedent to set? Putting someone in jail over lying about something they were pardoned for? Wouldn't this just be used by a future unjust government to compel testimony from people who are pardoned to go after an unrelated 3rd party? Like if Trump has a bad term and the far left retakes control, I could see them using this to compel pardoned j6ers to lie about Trump ordering them personally to start an insurrection because they 'know' Trump ordered this, referencing the media they forced to spread this false narrative (see covid, hunter's laptop story, any confirmed government conspiracy in the last 100 years). It just seems like cope. Hunter got away with it, so did biden and his handlers. It's the fault of the American people for acting like cattle and voting a wolf in sheeps clothing into office. The almost 1,500 commutations ordered by the president all relate to people who were released from prisons and placed in home confinement during the Covid pandemic. Thousands of prisoners were released to their homes as an emergency measure under the Cares Act to prevent the rapid spread of coronavirus through federal prisons.

That one seems reasonable enough, they were already on a pseudo probation and behaved then. He should pardon everyone Harris falsely jailed when she was a prosecutor, and the J6 victims too.

Just a note, your point would work better if you separated kinds of violence The founders absolutely did support the threat of violence as a form of deterrence and even "civilized" violence in the forms of duels and public humiliation spectacles like tar and feathering. I end up in multiple bars and events in different sections of the country. These places can range from dive bars to upscale corporate settings. Every person I've talked to in the real world who has heard about the UHC assassination has supported it or at the very least approved of it. Not to power level, but guess what country I live in.
