I don't know what I expected.

what could they have on him?

If he is a nonce or something then surely if they started spreading that then unsavory things about them would further come to light.

It’s more likely he was fearful of being labeled transphobic and ostracized from the LGBTQ which at the time were siding with the Tranch.
It's probably as simple as this. The "unsavory things about them" would be what's on the tapes, and we've seen dozens of times how "polycules" fall apart. It's just a circular firing squad of transgender rape accusations, but what gains traction outside of the relationship bubble is any accusation of thoughtcrimes. Probably the Tranch, having all that money and PR, would be more susceptible.

I could see a professional furry having a tiny glimmer of understanding that it's good to hang onto, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Although someone who wasn't here from the start popped up a few months ago to say that it still made great reading.
I will be reading this thread to my children in 15 years as a bedtime story, it's got everything- comedy, tragedy, flawed/complex characters, men driven mad by their lust and rage, deceit, treachery, cute animals, ect.

They then attempted to sell some awful yarn at DenFur, but did it while treating it as an excuse to go to DenFur so they spent loads on hotel rooms and hanging out not working while also spending money on ranch hands to look after the alpaca while they were away.
Was this the event where they recorded Kevin riding the bicycle like a sped? That clip was what brought the Tranch to my attention in the first place.
I can give Penny credit at least for always being pretty honest about ranching being hard work and needing people who were willing to pitch in and help out, but he was never the one they were listening to.
Really makes you wonder where Penny would be if he never met Kevin. It's not like Penny was ever destined for greatness, but sustaining a small operation is a lot different than sustaining an operation with a verifiable human sandbag.
How many people do you think want to buy alpacas in the US? The reason for why they managed to get so many alpacas in the first place is that there's almost no market for alpacas nowadays. People were literally giving away entire herds to get rid of them.
You'd think they'd be suspicious over why all these people want to offload truckloads of alpaca. Either way, trying to sell them individually requires effort, which is not really the forte of the Tranch.
He was also the one doing the militia LARP the hardest so I don't think there was anything realistic about his aims.
I think it was partially Penny and Bonnie ping-ponging the larp off of each other. Penny was in the military at one point and Bonnie definitely enjoyed the larping aspect of a tranny militia.
What @Procopius said ⬆️

What could Ash possibly get out of blackmail? The only one who has any semblance of money is Penny thanks to his grandparents, and if there is much left of that by now I'd be very surprised. Certainly there are things that blackmail can get you other than cash, but I highly doubt that any of the ex Tranch members have access to any of those things... and don't say that they could always offer their arses, because each one of them would happily pay cash money for those revolting things to be used. Pointless blackmailing someone for something that they'd pay you to take.
He'd probably do it if the Tranchers were notable enough. Someone like a Brianna Wu or Carabello caliber, but none of them really had a large enough audience to hategrift off of.

Not a whole lot interesting from Jen, but since the threads been so active I figured I would make a post.
Burrito night is still happening, but unfortunately no pictures.

Jen is ready for some feedback on his game. The only taker is some troon named bread.

Jen manages to combine his hatred of Muslims and white people.

Two years after everything came crashing down. Well done him.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."

Problem is: all of the horrors around me are both man-made AND within my comprehension, and that somehow makes it worse.

Take that Lovecraft quote, and replace every first-person adjective with a reference to normies. If normies knew, they'd either go mad with the revelation and make TTD a reality, or they'd retreat further into wilful ignorance.

But we are Kiwi Farmers. We're built different. We look man-made horrors dead in the eye and make them blink.
