Didn't Saddam have people being fed to lions on his property? Not even men but specifically women and children, if you believe some of the Americans and spies charged with being around him. I can't imagine a guy who orchestrated that begging for mercy, his soul was probably as rank as vinegar.
Saddam was a based hero and will be remembered in legends we tell to our children’s children.

I miss his smile :(
There was definitely a sort of "Iraqi Saddamwave" aesthetic to him, even if he was harboring, funding, and training violent terrorists the entire time. The PLO was based in Baghdad until the US invaded in 2003.

It seems TIME has realized which way the wind is blowing and need to bend if they want to remain any figment of relevant.

lol, lmao even.
I saw a video on YT where it compiled a series of short video made by some brainwashed woman from summer to just after the election and at one point she said about the mainstream news:

"for the past half year you've been calling this man Hitler and a fascist
and scaring the crap out of us, and
now that he's won the election
you've abandoned us! Please,
I don't know what to do!"

And while she's the kind of person I'd likely never get along with or like in person (she was a pretty smug and self righteous asshole most of the time), I still kinda felt bad for her, because that's exactly what they did.

I really do hope we get a proper tell all of how the Biden coup happened. We know the broad details with Pelosi telling Biden it was either going to be done "the easy way or the hard way." The thought of that old corrupt Granny talking to the POTUS like a mafia boss is just disturbing.

But it doesn't really explain Jill's clear disdain for Kamala, you can say a lot about the Harris campaign but she never blamed Biden. I'm imagining The Bidens hoped Kamala would tell Pelosi she would have no part in replacing Biden. Whatever it is Jill Biden is totally out of touch if she believes Joe had any chance of beating Trump especially after July 2024.
While Doctor Jill isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she is, she's not nearly as stupid as Kamala is, and it had to rankle her every time that dumb bitch opened her mouth.

Memes aside Saddam is a complicated character for me. He’s done good and he’s done bad. I don’t like how the Baathist party killed king Faisal and saddam was a brutal iron fist leader… but on the other hand he was the devil we knew and a lesser evil compared to what came out in Iraq during obongos term. He improved literacy and such and was a good deterrent against Iran. I wonder if on an alternative timeline we could have made him out the way the house of saud is in Saudi Arabia, who is our ally but also fund wahabbi terrorists throughout the region.

I was a young Chuddie once and I remember learning how Obama was a commie muslim marxist who was going to destroy America. And some gripes aside well my perception at least is that he was basically a repackaged George W Bush. People really need to learn that news media is made to sell you ads and to keep you watching it.

In my opinion, Saddam's problem is he did not keep his head down after the First Gulf War. I'm not certain the US would have invaded Iraq had he done so, but this is all counterfactual.

Where I agree with most other posters here is that, over the past 16 years, powerful people have not been properly punished by the legal, political, and social systems meant to address these issues. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg got publicly humiliated in their Congressional hearings, meaning that these release valves are still there and still function, but it's not enough. Why isn't Nancy Pelosi dragged out for insider trading? Why are "journalists" defending the Hunter Biden pardon? The list goes on.
I was going to agree until you wrote this. Congressional hearings are useless and these people are above the law. Only the law of physics applies to them

I don't subscribe to the "Vaccines cause autism" theory, but the diagnosis rate has fucking exploded in the last several decades. I don't know whether it's being overdiagnosed, or more people are being born with it, but it's incredibly statistically unlikely.

I read a study a while back that suggested that micro plastics being in fucking everything could be a factor.

I don't know what the answer is, but a growing number of retards in society is probably not a good thing.

I literally said, in the post you quote, that the Congressional hearings were not enough. They are not enough as a release valve. The only positive of those Congressional hearings was the public got a bit of red meat, but that's it. Any antitrust lawyer can tell you that the feds gave a sweetheart deal to Microsoft. We all know that Zuckerberg got a slap on the wrist.

How long has "autism" even being a recognized diagnoseable condition? All I know is they've loosened the definition for it every year for decades and before that I'd never even heard of it. The closest anyone knew of what "autistic" was back then was Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man and that's nothing like what they call autism today. Now it's a "spectrum" that everyone is on so they can keep us medicated for life.
