The victim in that RP case is Kayla, because it was her picture Aaron supposedly sent to Geno.
The witnesses are Nick and April.
April verified information (message sent on the date and at the time of the livestream) by potentially illegally accessing Aarons phone records.
Nick and likely April (who might have known the passwords) have accessed Aaron's google account and stolen pictures, videos and if we believe Melton, they also read and listened to lawyer communication.
So yes, the intimidation attempts using illegally accessed data will have an impact on the RP case, because the trial might have been tainted by criminal behavior of the witnesses, to a degree that a fair trial is no longer possible.
Nick and April are not really witnesses to anything. Neither saw what was shared with Geno or can confirm that anything was shared with with Geno. Confirming that Aaron's phone records match the information already provided in Aaron's streaming video is IMO of very marginal importance. They could at best testify to Aaron having been given a nude image of Kayla.
One or the other could provide evidence in the form of stolen phone records. But the only thing that would make a difference is if they had enough evidence to prove that a particular image was sent at a particular time to Geno and to have the actual image sent.
But even if one or the other could provide that evidence, you would never put them on the stand as a witness due to how they obtained that evidence.
I'm not convinced that anything Nick has done would have tainted the case. He has created legal problems for himself, but unless for example he shared information obtained from attorney-client information with prosecutors, I don't see the case as tainted. I think what makes the case difficult is the lack of a witness to confirm that what was shared was "revenge porn" by the legal standard of the law. You could maybe get a lower charge with Aaron's stream content alone, but nothing more than that. A revenge porn case where there is no good witness at all to the actual porn image distributed seems very difficult legally.
Its also possible that Nick and April's behavior could cause prosecutors to drop the case using their own discretion or to plead it down to something very small.
