There are a handful of premises for different types of viewers. I think even Sam and Jet have differences of opinion on what Fishtank is. Burt saying he'd split the prize multiple times and that he didn't care, along with his ... tendencies... means plenty of people, myself included, don't care if he gets it or not and plenty of fans would just as well feel betrayed by a Sam production leading to a hypersexual gay black schizo that fucks old Jews being rewarded for being a hypersexual gay black schizo that fucks old Jews.

It won't impact anything long term either way but there is a point where if they cave to demands that he be paid out they lose face. I don't know when that point is and don't want to think about it too much because I don't care.

But not paying the winner the prize, violates an unspoken rule with the viewer. If at the end of Survivor, they decided not to pay the winner, viewers would be livid, because thats not what was promised.

There is no unspoken rule. There is a spoken rule that it's all at the whim of the Wiggers.

It doesnt matter what the contract says, doesnt matter if Burt actually did get paid in full behind the scenes, all that matters is that the viewer has been led to believe Burt was not paid. It kills the premise of the show.

To most people, Fishtank is three things:

24/7 Livestream with an interactive audience

Eventual hell house

Cash prize to the winner

When any part of that formula is removed or fucked with, people are not happy. To completely remove one of those elements betrays the trust of the viewer. All three of those things are either outright stated or strongly implied as the concept for every trailer the show has done. If Regis Philbin doesnt hand a mothafucka a million bucks at the end of 'Who Wants to be a Millionare', we got a problem.

You have completely misunderstood what makes this show great.
The fun lies in watching the Wiggers come up with goofy, novel, and entertaining ways to mess with the fish and observing how the fish respond.

That is what I expect from FTL.

If you are looking for a fair game show or believe that the will of the audience should dictate the ongoing events, then this show will never make you happy.

I think they did give Burt the full payout. If they didn't, that's funny but the unfairness of it takes away most of the joke for me. Burt is a degenerate but I don't think that justifies not paying him his due. Production are pretty degenerate too. I'm not going to seethe about it though. Again, I believe he did/will be paid though. Even if he's not, it won't ruin the show in the slightest.

I can see the Burt prize money issue from both sides. One on hand Burt clearly doesn’t need the money and he said himself he’d give it away so is it really a big deal he didn’t get it? Like he seems unfazed why be bothered by it if he isn’t?. On the other hand he completely earned it by carrying the season and Sam pulling a “I can just revoke the prize money at anytime if I don’t like you” sets a horrible precedent for the show. That’s true. Since season 1 Sam’s made it pretty damn clear the show isn’t meant to be fair and he can revoke money at anytime. He also put it in the contract.

Payton's dad is really fucking weird. Here's some instances of things that definitely happened that I have no evidence for (as of yet) but will upload if I find them:

1. Payton is a lesbian (lol)
2. When Luke talked about his earliest childhood memories on FH2, Payton says she forgets most of her childhood and has entire years "blacked out"
3. Payton said her family kisses on the mouth and she had to tell her parents to stop when she turned 18

5. Payton's dad hovered over her shoulder for the vast majority of her first stream back well as the stream she had with Binx and Jobe last night
6. Payton and her dad both talked about sex several times in front of each other on these streams

The dad is weird and probably a huge part of why she says she's lesbo. Connor watched one of her instagram streams, she shouted him out and the dad kept needling about it because he didn't realize it was the Connor from fishtank. His continued shadowing is also strange and overbearing. I doubt that there's something truly evil going on, it just seems like general girl-dad/really wanted a son weirdness you see in the South/Texas.
