The whole Kino Casino arc had me thinking we were all wrong, that greed does come before his ego. He's been taking flak from KC for ages but he still tries to hang out with them to leech off of their audience, going so far as to even give them money.

If Phil is legitimately so socially retarded he doesn't know he's being made fun of, ego over greed could still be possible. And now that you said it, I think it's the most likely. He is a hermit.

I still think it's mostly ego. The detractors have said from day one that someone was getting snaked in this ordeal. So he finds himself in a state where he has to keep this going to prevent that detractor W for being right all along. But still him being this much of a faggot cuck is an even bigger detractor W so.

While I won't deny he's trying to leech off of their audience, I think when he simps for KC, he's basically doing what his paypigs do, try and pay for friendship. To give Phil an insulting bit of credit, he was actually doing it well before he had paypigs. Going all the way back to his original condo purchase in CT, he basically said he bought it to try and impress a girl. When he wants to be closer with someone, his only solution is to throw money at them until they're trapped.

I might be wrong because I don't really follow the KC side of things, but with my limited knowledge, it feels like they're doing what Phil did to OIC in the beginning. OIC was as desperate to be a mod as Phil is desperate to have friends. But Phil kept stringing him along to get OIC to donate, while privately admitting in Discord he had no intention of giving OIC anything. Feels like KC is doing the same thing, intententionally or not, stringing Phil along, dangling the idea of being friends in front of him while making him jump through hoops, either in donating or giving subtle pushes for him to humiliate himself by streaming politics.

How fucking pathetic is it that Phil and those around him are just a bunch of users and transactional relationships? From Phil himself, his fans and those that "associate" with him, and his paypigs. That's an existence that is pure hell, no matter if you realize it or not.

There's an interesting wrinkle to what everybody is saying about Phil/Kino relationship... remember they cut him in on money by doing the RTU documentary react with him. They sent their paypigs to him and told them to support him.

Contrast that to the SideScrollers interview... remember that Phil thought it went well after the fact and the only thing that turned the tide was them taking in money the next day (or maybe it was the previous day's shoutouts, I don't remember, don't care) on his name. The views they had during and immediately after the interview weren't that different from some of the things they said the next day, just that one had $$$ attached to it and the other didn't. And most importantly, no $$$ to Phil.

I think there's an alternate universe where if they did the "decompress" with him, heck on his stream or theirs, but at least gave him some of the $$$, he doesn't have the negative opinion he did.

It is funny how much $$$ is what drives him, even if you get glimpses of other things (like humiliating himself to have guys to talk to).

Yes and this extends to Kat. She won't even sit next to him for 2 hours and play NES Bubble Bobble. I played that with siblings and friends dozens and dozens of hours...simple fun co-op game, would be wholesome game for married couple.

I ayum on "team Greed/Bottom-Line" over Ego, but here's my theory: His hate boner for SideScrollers and other nonsensical behavior derives from what Howard said about him: he watched too much WWE. Everything has to be like a dramatic angle. And, as is often in wrestling, his narratives have plot-holes, no continuity, and often no logical conclusion/"payoff" (it just peters out and is never mentioned again aka memory-holed). I think what Howard said may go even deeper than Mr. Alotta Peepul realizes.

What even was that? His whole take was by suggesting you look at the lists food banks put out of items you can donate that they need instead of donating the 10,000th unit of canned pumpkin that they don't need and will end up throwing in the trash they are greedy assholes who deserve nothing.
And his conclusion was, "So don't donate food to food banks because 'beggars can't be chosers' (he really said this) so fuck them, instead what you should do is donate money to food banks,". . .which is also THE MAIN GUIDLINE THAT FOODBANKS PUT OUT! Agreed that KC hasn't commit the cardinal sin yet, taking away what is supposed to be Phil's money. This can and likely will change any day now since Phil is gifting them subs and that must pay off. As others have said, Phil really lives by the wrestling business mindset of love me or hate me, it's all about drawing money. He may see KC razzing him as just wrestling storyline shit.
