There has to be a third layer of hell for these fucking scumbag companies that think they can release the same fucking game under a different name just to sucker in people who are too stupid to notice things. I see enough of this shit on the mobile app stores (specifically with gacha games) but this is just straight-up retarded.

A company called Bikini Games (which there's nothing about them on Google except for a twitter account that was only made for one game and only has 3 posts) released a VN called "Love Elysium: Secret of the Goddess" back in June of this year. Today I check out the newest releases on the Switch eShop, and what do I find? A VN made by the very same people called " Pick My Heart Chapter 1", which is THE SAME FUCKING GAME that even uses the same preview pictures as Love Elysium. Chapter 2 seems to be a completely new story that's supposed to take place after chapter 1 (as expected), but why the fuck did they have to re-brand the game within 5-6 months after Love Elysium was released? The same Love Elysium that's STILL on the eShop for sale with bundles no less.

By the by, the publisher is RedDeer.Games, which outside of like one or two games (CryptStalker being REALLY good and something I'd highly recommend) at this point should be considered KING of the shovelware sellers including 15 bajillion versions of the bundles they give out to a select few of their games. Premium edition? Deluxe Edition? Extended edition? Plus edition? This publisher has it all!

But I agree with the sentiment. Iwata’s gone, Reggie’s gone, Miyamoto barely works on games anymore, Bill Trinen is gone, Leslie Swan is gone, Charles Martinet is gone from voice acting specifically and may have been fired? Nintendo isn’t the same company it was ten years ago.

It still makes no sense to me that companies like Nintendo don't do this more often. Pixelated games are still popular, why wouldn't they do throwback titles or start a new pixel art franchise? They wouldn't have any more droughts and it could be done on a shoestring budget. Sega did Sonic Mania, why is there no Mario Mania equivalent? Closest thing they've done is Mario Maker.

Today marks 20 years since the Nintendo DS hit the scene. I've been seeing on the discussion online that while people do have a lot of fond memories of it, the DS's first party lineup wasn't all that great. Agree? Disagree? What were your favorite DS games?

Pokemon Sun & Moon was the last good Pokemon game, and that was in development under Iwata. Series dive-bombed in quality after that, possibly coincidentally, but still.

Pokemon should have died after the 1st game. The fact that Iwata had to save their asses with his compression engine on Gold/Silver and from what we now know from the leaks that have come out, GameFreak has been proven to be ALWAYS incompetent and there's literally no excuse for all that cut content, of which there are a FUCK-TON of.

He was great. Willing to sacrifice his salary rather than fire people but he was also flawed. He was human.

Genwhunners are a plague. They exist on every fandom. "Their first album was their best", "the first season was the best", "the first movie was the best". And in many cases they are right but not with Pokemon. The best games were the Gens 4-6. l think you guys need a reminder of how much clankier the Gens 1 & 2 were. I played Crystal and it was rougher than I imagined it would be.

Simple does not equal better. Types were shitty and the physical/special attack dichotomy sucked too. The last 2 gens have not been very polished and USUM were a downgrade in the story department but every Gen has its ups and downs. Your nostalgia is blinding you.
