A sitting member of Congress used a slur for us on social media and the news largely ignored it or treated it as normal. We are well past the dehumanization stage of a genocide.

Ten years ago no one gave a damn about trans people or got angry about or medication. When NC tried to ban us from bathrooms, the public outcry forced them to backtrack. This is the result of ten years of propaganda and millions invested into sympathetic writers recasting hatred as “concern”…
It's starting to look a lot like the LGBTQ+ movement needs to accept that we have lost the support Democratic Party.

Deleting my bsky app from my phone, demoting it beyond visibility on desktops (I can't delete the *browsers*). since joining here after the election my mental health has taken a nosedive, and it's just getting worse.
I'm not being personally harassed fwiw, I'm obviously too small-fry for them to bother with. in fact if I want to do some cathartic report-blocking I have to scavenge in the replies of more popular posters. it's just the news keeps getting worse and every time I look my chest hurts.
and the whole singal thing, mostly for revealing who the mods really are... well, this is not our sanctuary state, is it. still be on mastodon, though less of that too. (and not claiming their mod tools are better, they're not.)

I'm so tired. I'm tired of trans people getting kicked around and having to make ourselves absolutely indispensable to cis "allies" lest we be left homeless, jobless, or worse. I'm tired of the normalization of the abuse that happens to trans women specifically. I'm not okay.
