The US gun industry could save itself tomorrow if they threatened to boycott all US government contracts for firearms and ammo. I think this is also a reason why the US military is leaning more into EU companies than domestic ones since those companies are happy to only provide service for politicians. A lot of them are owned by hedge fund managers these days so none of them will have the balls to do anything but settle lawsuits and sulk.

This is such conniving bullshit, i fucking hate these people. Almost all of these guns use sears in their mechanics. It means that if someone modified that sear to be an "auto-sear" suddenly your Colt 1911 is an automatic. The reason why glocks are popular is theyre cheap, and guess what, everyone likes them. Everyone even people who feel absolutely nothing about glocks (like myself) own glocks (like myself).
These people just refuse to admit that its a bunch of gangbangers buying P80s and putting on switches they got by the dozen. How the fuck is it Glock's fault? There's literally *nothing* they could do to "fix this problem".
Is that, in fact, a glock on the left? I don't think so. They're too lazy to actually show two glocks together?
Anyway, the story just gets worse. You see the guy who invented the Glock switch (26 fucking years ago) actually filed for a patent for it. The reason its all over the place is the patent went out in 2016. Are these people suing this guy for inventing the design? No. He didn't even manufacture them illegally! Glock never cosigned it.
And the worst part? The glock switch is basically just a basic bitch mechanical device that enables the hammer/striker to fire over and over without the sear engaging to stop it.

Cynical theory: resurrection of one of the few remaining cards/talking points the left has left that in theory could bring back the masses: health care reform, with a heaping round of Days of Rage style assassination to make damn sure the insurance agencies have the fear put into them so they don't find GOP types to fight the next Democrat President who rides that wave back into power once they get re-elected.
