Bit of a crack theory, but I think Emily got put on a 5150 hold. She probably tardraged hard enough to be declared a danger to herself. Would definitely explain the sudden silence, and it's very in character for her.

If I had to make a wild optimistic guess, I'd say she told her tard wranglers about the "death threats" she was getting on her profile page. This naturally led to some questions as to why all these strangers were talking about dead kittens. I hope her team made a decision to take away her Internet since she is a danger to herself and others when she goes online.
