It's done. It's all over. The internet is dead. I'm dead. My family is dead. Everyone is dead. Everyone is dead, Dave.

I have flown probably over 100,000 miles in my life and I have never had my fucking luggage lost before. It's a kind of devastating fuck up you don't even really understand until it happens. I've always prepared my laptop bag to have everything I need in case it ever happened but even with that good habit I am just completely fucked because I am pegged to this location until it arrives and I have no idea if that's even happening. It's also really expensive to suddenly extend everything. I'm going to have to file a claim for the first time ever.

I think the reason I've always had my luggage is that I've always booked flights with generous connection times. It doesn't bother me to sit on my laptop for two hours and you can do fun things like fixing the forum in that time. But they rescheduled my flights last second and gave me a 50 minute connection with a 20 minute delayed initial flight.

I guess I haven't lost luggage before but do they not offer to ship you your bags when they turn up?

You'll have to let us know at some point what airport shafted you on the bags. I'm betting JFK.

Ahh don’t sweat it. Happens all the time - they’ll drive the bags to your destination once they catch up. Bags are very well tracked, it’s very unusual to actually have them disappear altogether.

I'm assuming that his initial plan was to head somewhere else after reaching his destination city, and now he has to stay in the destination city at a great expense and inconvenience awaiting his luggage. Sad!

Weird. This seems to be very common nowadays and I'm wondering why it's so common now.
My parents had this situation. My siblings had this situation. I've had friends with this situation.
Probably covid shit, but I don't know why that made this more common.
It's like their coordination/admin is all fucked.

Either that or theft of luggage is a big problem now and that's why it's getting "lost" so much more now.
I would like to see stats on this though.

The first muslim, african, and former non immigrant city councilor who had a salary of 6 figures got arrested for stealing tax payer money. She also hired 3 of her family members and gave them raises and bonuses on tax payer dime. Despite having a 6 figure salary she was still behind on rent and over drafted in her bank account.

Airport baggage handlers are all Shaniquas and immigrants getting absolute minimum wage who don't give a fuck and are also incompetent. Meanwhile the airport / airline expects them to function without errors to keep up with the tight schedule they set themselves for maximum profits.

Because they employ exclusively non-whites now because they are cheaper.

I could have sworn he posted a photo, but I didn't find it; please accept the best I could do:

I'm sorry but I'm just laughing thinking about Null having a pallet with like 3000lbs of cheese on it.
And some airline worker trying to load that on the plane
'this fuckin cheese ass muthafucka'

How do you lose a pallet full of cheese?
Should he have sliced open a wheel of it and secreted an airtag inside?
Will the cheese be found before or after it begins to stink mightily?

I imagine it's one of those airline loadable containers.

It happened to me the second time I ever flew and I was also dealing with a language barrier. They give you a shitty bag with toiletries and a tshirt that’s literally made out of cheesecloth to hold you over til your luggage gets there. They did deliver my luggage to the hotel I was at about 12 hours later.
