This is my take as well. It’s why they were “sanewashed” this election cycle. They are the safe option because they’re not actually a threat to anything. It could be, the problem is that at the time, Striker was a relative unknown, and there was a lot of information about the incident on the old TRS forums that were completely scrubbed when it was taken down. There were a lot of major personalities, minor personalities, and minor minor personalities at the time. Someone saying "Joseph Jordan did X" would kind of go under the radar since he would have been mostly known as some DS writer. It would be like a guy who does AFPAC work for Fuentes being mentioned in passing.

This also happened a few days after the optics war began. I remember because I thought it was really foolish after years of proclaiming a big tent and everyone working with each other to go back to the old days of sectarian conflict.
