I was thinking about this and how you have to act to get away with such a thing our dystopian budget Cyberpunk reality.

As a thought experiment:

• Have no device tied to your name.
  • If you need a device to do the deed it has to be something that is just a WIFI thing.
    • Unclear if all devices don't have the underlying activity on them because you can call 911 without a SIM as the device can still communicate with the phone network.
    • Actually just get rid of any modern electronic device.

Buy yourself an android phone that can be installed a new android OS, maybe Graphene but there are others. You need to have something that disables Google services by default. You will still communicate with phone towers because of SOS features but this is why farady cages exist. You can technically disable cell phone service on a phone but that expects your OS to obey your commands and not still rat you out.

Being in the medical field, I can tell you, this happens all the time, and it's even worse in socialized shit holes like CA and EU. Those 8 weeks can turn into years, unfortunately. I don't particularly want to rehash that event because it was boring and the shooter uninteresting but as you can see from the case of Luigi - when it is a lone wolf their politics and social media profiles don't always come out in a predictable and consistent format.

Everyone wanted Luigi to be either hardcore left or right but his social media shit indicated he was all over the political spectrum and he was much more intellectually curious about the world and it's problems than he was interested in being a part of some specific political party - that's likely because an intelligent person can pretty quickly see that no matter what party gets elected there are certain fundamental problems that never change.

It's also the same with the YouTube shooter - tons of people insisted it was 100% going to be a right wing, white male... Instead it ended up being some fucking hyper weird Iranian woman who people thought was a tranny (she wasn't) and a Muslim (she wasn't) and that she must have been politically motivated (again: she wasn't. She was a turbo vegan who was mad her YouTube monetization was suspended).

Obviously in incidents of actual political espionage (taking place near embassy's and such) I could fathom the role of glowies being more likely, but in the case of many lone wolf actors their politics and actions don't make a single ounce of sense to anyone. But remember espionage doesn't really tend to involve actually shooting people - if it was really a "glowie op" you could probably cause a lot more problems just by planting evidence of doing clandestine recordings and other shit like that.

He's intelligent though and obviously a very curious person who reads and watches a lot of different stuff - most lone wolf attackers aren't going to read that stuff.

I only mention that because if you look at how hyper specific his attack was (against the CEO of the most evil healthcare company around) plus him deliberately avoiding anything that would hurt any bystanders that he didn't idolize most "lone wolf" attackers but may have understood their mindset.
Most of them are extremely bitter, angry and resentful and lash out with almost uncontrolled anger that overshadows whatever they were hoping to change in the world.

That's why there have already been many notable changes as a result of this single thing he did compared to most other attackers (it's still unknown how many changes will still - but if there's already bills being submitted to break up healthcare monopolies and the head UHG CEO is trying to corral people by acting like he wants to improve things then it's pretty clear it had an impact). This event 100% had way more impact than voting or "political violence" (meaning threats or actual violence against politicians or political parties) would have ever had.
