Probably the main reason Phil can't get guests. Anyone bigger than him has no benefit for going on his channel since Phil's actually paying audience is tiny. I wish that DSP would at least acknowledge and embrace the one thing that makes him unique, and that is that he is genuinely the worst professional entertainer in the world. I can’t think of a single streamer, actor, comedian, or podcaster that would put out something like DSP’s now-regular podcast segments where he fucks around with shitty RGB lighting and explains what he’s doing like he’s doing closed captioning. The way he casually flips from looking down his nose and trashing other creators to obsequious wormtongue drooling all over their toes is incredible. It feels like yesterday he was purposefully mispronouncing Meh'towkurr's name and calling him a no-life racist, now Jim's getting the full Sir Moist treatment.

The only one that comes to mind is when KingCobraJFS would go out for an extended smoke break saying he'll be right back and leave his audience waiting in silence, then return and immediately end the stream. It always made me laugh. Cobes is funny and talented though so not a great comparison.

At gunpoint, I'd watch an hour of Cobra's Dog chair with background noise of him just existing in the trailer or outside before I'd even consider a DSP stream - That's how far on the entertainment scale they are to me and I'd say most.

I can't believe he 'plays' Flight Sim but doesn't actually play or fly the planes at all. He just puts it on autopilot, commentates, and begs for tips for hours. Absolute insanity. Who watches this shit?

I'd be surprised if he didn't. Its better than a walking simulator where he has to engage with the game every so often. He can also talk endlessly about stuff he knows nothing about, sing, go clown mode, and talk with accents while acking his ass off.

Being stuck inside your house because the power went out has to be one of the dumbest stories phil has ever told. He didn't even bother to think any of it through and just said a bunch of retarded stuff without even thinking about any of it, all he cared about was getting to complain and look like a poor, helpless victim.

First he tried saying he can't leave because the car is stuck in the garage, but automatic garage doors have backup power so they can still open if there's no power, and then they all also have a handle so they can be manually opened/closed by hand. The car was in no way stuck in the garage.

But even dumber than that, he claimed that the gate to his neighborhood doesn't work when the power is out. They don't have it on a backup generator or battery or anything. So if you have to go to work or have a doctors appointment or anything else important, you're stuck at home and can't go. Does he even realize how retarded this stuff sounds? Yeah you may have just worked a long shift at work and want to go home and relax, but if the power is out you can't come inside the community and get to your house.

Its stuff like this that makes phil such an interesting case, how he can just lie at will for no reason, no matter how stupid or unbelievable the lies are.

Obviously the power going out shouldn't impact your ability to run errands outside of your house, but phil needed the power being out to be a major topic that disrupted his day off, so he just went with it without any consideration for how stupid his story would sound.

What I don't get, though, is why Phil continually felts himself about the drop in tips. Is it just pure narcissism and detachment from reality? Since detractors have shown evidence that his views have dropped to pre-Kino Casino levels, why hasn't he figured it out? Since KC flat-out disavowed him and it's been clipped everywhere, and their dents were the ones who increased his income for a couple months, why hasn't he caught on that it's over? Why tie so much of your content to financial goals when you know your income is dropping? Just makes him look like a loser.

While there is certainly one Phillip Burnell who burns bridges for his greed and ego, there are thousands of people just like him. People that will ruin lives, relationships, long term arrangements for temporary gain, and are incorrigible enough to do it again, and again. We just don't see them because they don't get on a soapbox and beg for a living. Honestly this is what makes Phil better than those other despicable prevaricators. We know exactly what he is lying about and can predict his language, excuses and snorts all in real time. The slimeballs in the real world don't record themselves so they are always capable of manipulating others, the real ones don't have "detractors" editing their lies together for us to see. I don't really care how much Phil makes or if it ends anytime soon, the important part is that he's made it abundantly clear that he is a horrible, manipulative liar, that will hurt himself for money, and then capriciously damage his source of income for his ego. The appeal to Phil now are his absurd, child-like excuses, that have only grown the longer the charade goes on.
