That is pretty grimdark, but then why do they need to be brainwashed and why do the star defenders act like kids?

Interestingly, when Xavier gets "made" , the boy's hair colour was brown, but Xavier's is blonde.

Would have made logistical sense to only implant one globule so when the marine dies they can get double on the investment (plus it's more lore accurate to 40k).

It's a meme but in practice since it takes them a decade to actually enter a battlefield as a scout and probably another decade until they don full power armor, they'll mentally be older than irl soldiers.
 
Episode 2 had a much funnier ending compared to episode 1
seeing chestnut just dragging around a limbless hatemonger was amazing
 
I thought it started off weaker than episode one and a bit aimless by the end I think it was honestly just as good as the first one.

Though I'm a bit confused on the girmlord. Central command says that the shipment of boys captured by the coagulators was specifically meant for the protagonists legion, which is why they'll get in trouble.

But that doesn't make sense to me for 2 reasons.

1.) If all the legions are united, who else would the shipment be for, and why would it matter?

2.) If all the legions operate completely independantly with no central authority, wouldn't the coagulators get in trouble instead?

Or is it a case of "Coagulators kidnaped the boy, but our legion gave the order so we're to blame."

Seems a bit convoluted unless I'm missing something.

The problem was that since the Coagulators stole their recruitment drive, they mistakenly took the Grimlord's Son which was supposed to be exempt from the capturing if done officially.

I don't think Captain's legion sent the order, I think it was either.

1. A mistake on the Coagulator's end.
2. Or a subtle heretical ploy from the Coagulators' broodmother since that legion was essentially an infected hivemind but are too "positive" or dumb to even comprehend what they are doing, Hence the welcoming of the Star Defenders.
(Honestly I was abit confused at first on why the star defenders didn't start blasting them as soon as they were warped onto their ship. They looked heretical at first impression which is actually true in the end.)

It may just be a problem of due diligence since they made an agreement and the Star Defenders showed negligence. The captain didn't even know about the recruitment drive's existence or even cared about it.

I don't understand this one or the legion unification.
Star Defenders Central Command was shown to hold their marines accountable in episode 1.
Remember they were punished for going artifact hunting in the wrong place and for wasting resources like genobombs.
Different legions also have different Central Commands, Coagulators' was incomprehensible and in agony. Either dysfunctional or it is just how it is.

Hatemonger was threatened to be sent back to his own legion signifying that he's just tagging along with the Captain like how a kid is with their friends. Or am I missing something?

No yeah my question is, if the coagulator high command kidnapped the boy, why would the star defender high command be held accountable?

Since different high commands appear to be more or less autonomous.

I thought they were less a specific reference to a space marine chapter but more of a humorous poking at some of the sillier lore shit like space wolves or blood angels changing the established names of everything to fit their motif.(seriously read a space wolf gear and unit list everything is just noun+wolf/wolf+noun)

It was a 5th-6th edition thing, with Space Wolves and Blood Angels suddenly starting to call everything "Blood-thing" "Wolf-thing". Even old /tg/ abundantly made fun of the concept, with the Space Wolves starting to have wolf chariots and wolf cavalry and wolf whatever. Older lore was less.... one-note. I legit laughed at ".... during a recruitment drive" "YOU MEAN A BLOOD DRIVE?" ".... yeah".

About Space King, it's terrible. I have no clue why I enjoy it so much, there's an earnest stupidity and childishness in it that greatly amuses me. It's stupid edgy (seriously, Space Marine boy kidnappers?) but ..... it's nonetheless amusing.

This is a pretty accurate parody of WH40k and it shows that Flashgitz are fans and invested into the lore.

How long till GamesFactory starts suing their asses? As soon as they're a blip on their radar, these guys are toast. Corporations defend the intellectual ip of their toys like a mamma bear guards her pups.
