Sony hate thread

I get the same vibe from them.

We're hitting a brick wall with graphics. The vast majority of gamers, normies included, are happy with PS4 visuals and don't need more.
1080p was pushed to sell tvs and physical media (we could have stopped here)
4k was pushed to sell tvs
now they've run out of excuses and labels to hang better graphical requirements on.

Playing games at 4k is a waste of resources and just makes the overall experience absolutely terrible(framrate drops, texture pop ins not behaving properly, clipping, etc). Most gamers are happy with playing at 1080, and I know a lot of people who are getting into PC gaming are jumping to 1440p. If studios would stop trying to hit that high point of 4k, and just go back to 1080p, and maybe 1440p, you'd start to see a lot of bloat and ballooning of budgets shrink practically overnight.

Doesn't account for all the voice acting and other bullshit. Sorry but making a 4k texture is easy as pie these days and it is no different from any other texture or resolution besides the processing. The issue arises with optimization, and most devs are so dogshit they need it outsourced. Boom. Its just like Hollywood balloon budgets. Tacked on shit, on top of shit. You can make a true 4k 60fps experience, you just need to be able to optimize it. Death Stranding is a pretty good example of an optimized modern game.

Pretend I posted the npc swapping brain chips meme.
I'm not so sure it's everyone though.

I still maintain that killing off Joel, and Cuckmann behaving as kikes are wont to do, actually hurt their popularity in the long term.

Also, this might be anecdotal, or down to the algorithm and the fact many of Cuckmann's devotees have fucked off to Bluesky, but I've seen quite a lot of criticism about the game, which is a stark contrast to how TLOU2 was greeted back when it was first announced.

Once normies smell blood in the water and realize there's a substantial number of people that also hate something, they become emboldened to openly voice their dislike. We've seen the same phenomenon happen before the launch of Dragon Age 4, and with Starfield soon after launch.

Once a company has a few Ls under their belt it's much easier for the public to voice their criticism openly, since it is perceived as more socially acceptable.

I'm not confident enough to claim the game will be financial flop, but I do think their sale numbers will be noticeably lower than previous titles. TLOU fans won't have forgotten the emotional backstab that TLOU2 was, leftists will hate Cuckmann because of his support for Israel, right-winger will hate him because he's a Jew/leftist, and normies will be disgusted by the protagonist.

Also, I like this particular face edit GCJ hates.
here's another one for the collection, even dumps like /v/ are having a field day with it

most people wouldn't even notice the difference between a 4k texture or 1080p, no one is facefucking a random ass wall to compare. it's similar to RT you'll never notice for 95% of actually playing the game. however 4k perfectly scales up from 1080p, so...

4K textures don't even require GPU power to optimize, it is about the VRAM size and speed, if you have enough. Shaders, lighting, shadows, and other effects are usually what tank the framerate, especially when barely optimized. When the PS3/Xbox 360 came out, I remember Gen 7 was always lambasted for never reaching 1080p and/or 60fps, but there were a fair amount of games that reached those thresholds, usually by not only being optimized, but restrained in the graphical effects they used.

You can make a true 4k 60fps experience, you just need to be able to optimize it. Death Stranding is a pretty good example of an optimized modern game.
DOOM is the best example I remember, being able to get 4k60 on even very old hardware.

Honestly, seems legit. I already know Endymion's next video. As for "I SHAVE MY HEAD TO HIDE!" is peak retardation since you'd expect all of this tech to also include face recognition. Plot doesn't sound completely retarded, though pretty derivative and going very HARD into "WHAT A TWIST!" territory. Hope it crashes and burns like we all expect it to?
She sure looks like a perfectly stable and grounded otherkin!

Some guy has leaked the switch 2 to reddit, he claims he has one and it's the retail model. The mods say it's totally legit. Announcement/launch in January/february 2025.

What does this have to do with Sony? If Switch 2 drops 1st quarter next year, Sony will be lucky to hit their sales figures in FY 2025. Switch 2 will kill the Playstation momentum and if the Steambox hits this time next year, bye bye Sony.

People have had enough of their shit, they've burned through their good will, there won't be a PS4 moment or a PS3 redemption arc. They don't have the talent or cash to fight Nintendo head on.

No way in hell that it hits stores in a month or 2. I can buy being announced and released 4-6 months later or pushed to 2025 holidays. But you don't shadow drop something like that into retailers without a long timeline.
Ok, lets say announced in Jan, launched in June/July. Nothing changes. Sony are still fucked and can't course correct quicker than Nintendo can ship.
