Tbh I wonder if he and Ben aren't just functioning alcoholics. There were multiple times throughout S3 that they came upstairs, admittedly, drunk as fuck and started harassing the contestants in the middle of the night. Somewhat funny in concept, but it was just kind of off-putting in execution. Would explain some of the poor performance, tweets like the above, and weird kneejerk decisions at least.
I big time agree here. Also what does it say about Sam? Its the old thing of an average looking girl having ugly friends so she looks hotter. Sammy might play internet dad but his crew seems to have actively resisted it.

Deleted Jet tweet in response to Tai tweeting that season 2's house had the best vibes. Also lmao season 2 had the best vibes? Are you fucking kidding me? It was a nightmare season. It was HORRIBLE vibes near the end. Weird, dark violent vibes. This idiot still fundamentally does not understand his own show.

I think they're just talking about house decorations and furniture

I seriously can not remember anyone hating on the house for season 2, ever. Maybe pushback from a confusing layout but taking something like that to heart is weak. Wes or whoever eventually got site navigation to a good place.
Season 2's vibes were fucked, but that's a different thing.

I wonder what Jet's real unfiltered opinion on all three seasons is because he stated that "we will never cast a fan again, only normies from now on" on the site a couple weeks into s3 when shit was great, but when Famous House 2.0 started he stated on the site something to the effect of "you guys wanted normie fish, this is what you get. We are getting fans again next season". I have no idea what Jet wants or likes from this show except that season 2 appears to be his favorite.
It is the wrong question, fans or normies.
Especially from season 2 I think it is clear that secret fans pretending to not be was a functional premise. The line between acting and reality is always blurred when a person is put on the spot, aware that they are being recorded, that artifice is never going away. So I think weather it is a formal or informal thing, it is something the show can play with way more.
Some great things are fish like Jimmy who come with a set of planned bits, secret code phrases, operators from the outside sending messages, stuff like that is great. Even if I think Jimmy has a lot of dumb ideas, Tay did the same thing, also cringy ideas ( She wanted to show everyone Trimph of the Will ). I am not making a good case with examples like this lol, the spirit of that is good though, people who join with some degree of investment.

They do need a director of some kind, get two people on staff to keep tabs on emergent narratives, keep Jet in line.

Jet remains undefeated in misreading what the fans actually want.

According to Jet the camping arc was the best part of season one, Brian was the best Fish from season two, Fishtank is not a lolcow show, the prison challenge was a good idea, and now everyone hated the season two house apparently lol

Edit: Also while we’re on the topic of fans versus normies I think a group of well selected normies are better, for the simple fact that they will be completely unaware leading to excellent gaslights and rehashed bits and freeloaders being more effective. It adds another layer of enjoyment. Usually the best Fish are mostly indistinguishable in quality regardless of their fan or normie status (this is because they are retarded or mentally ill), but I think the average quality of a typical Fish goes up if they’re a normie because of how in the dark they are.

Plus, the peaks of season two were never really because the Fish were fans. And the universal dislike for that season shows that casting fans isn’t really the best idea. There’s something so much more satisfying about a Fish causing conflict or stirring the water without being aware of the show. Theyre doing it because that’s how they are. The audience isn’t a factor, and I like the natural feel that brings.

her face when catchink is trying to explain why pressuring her "best friend" into porn is a good thing was pretty funny.

Yeah, I also thought he meant the house vibes. The S3 house was filled with Amazon slop furniture.

The season 2 house was very comfy. Warm lighting, smaller rooms that made it more intimate, carpets that improved the audio, etc. The problems everyone has with season 2 have nothing to do with the house but with production fucking the show up by starving everyone, the dogpiling, interference, rigging, etc.

Funnily enough, some of the S2 furniture ended up being reused in the basement for S3. When the wiggers threw their tantrum over the prison bit and they epically owned us by showing Ben downstairs instead of what was happening in the house you could see one of the S2 couches in the background.

Stuff like the bunk beds and secret tunnel were actually really cool but that's all I can really think of for season 2 that was interesting at all.
I guess the attic but that didnt get used much, the confessional was much better in season 3.

I actually really liked the season 3 house a lot, but it didn't really have to do with the interior design at all. It's just a much more interesting house.

Like the Yard area that had the walkway above it was a really cool area.
Felt like it was super underutilized. Think their reasoning for that was the audio was bad, but it seems like something you could figure out.

Like plant mics on the bottom of the walkway.

And do something like you put people in the yard and have people on the walkway throw shit at them or smth

I don't remember anyone complaining about the season two house. Even people like me who were negative towards the season complimented the layout and decoration of the house. I still think it's the coolest and most interesting one of the series. Loved the wallpaper, loved the doghouse room, loved the bar with the pong machine, loved the upstairs bedrooms. It all had character and personality to it that season 1's all white sterile house didn't have. Look at how colorful this is. Look at the lighting.

The real reason they did Amazon slop is there was no Bex to steer the house design in a good direction so the wiggers just defaulted to whatever was easiest. This BTS video of S2 really shows how instrumental Bex was in making it come together visually.

She also did the wardrobe too didn't she?

Does anyone know why Bex is no longer there?
I did notice that Bex seems to be back in the Midwest now (i think that's where she's originally from?)
Idk if maybe she was just out on the east coast for college or smth?

Little bit of gaslighting and a Cell-style challenge on the whatever podcast to make Mizzy feel like she's back in the tank.

She's in the PNW right now, as for college she's in her 30s so I doubt it. She may have just been busy. She still has a picture from the bloodrave pinned on her Twitter so I don't think there's any bad blood between her and the wiggers. She was recently spotted DJing and Jon showed up.

According to Jet the camping arc was the best part of season one,
The camping arc is excellent and I'm tired of pretending it's not!

The camping arc is essential and it really was the turning point in s1. It also introduced Lance and Simon (Tai) the two greatest freeloaders of all time, and it had a lot of fighting and drama. It really perplexes me that so many people think the camping arc sucks.

Each to his own I guess. My main memory of the camping trip was the fish lazing around the living room 12 hours a day waiting for Sam to show up and make content it’s been a long time though so I could just be remembering the bad shit.
