I don't know how they managed to get the 'subscribed for 2 months" text.

The reality is that the "suffahbish" account was created, per the Kick API, within hours of following the account:
"created_at":"2024-12-08T00:33:18.000000Z"

It's another brand new account, basically, less than 1 week old. It was created over 23 hours after their show on December 6 started and 4 days before the next show afterwards on December 11 and appears to have immediately, or at least within hours of being created, followed Kino Casino.

You know, if they were actually smarter, what they would do is have MM make multiple socks, and have him spread the donos among them. It'd probably still be found out since they'd all be new socks, but it would be less obvious to the average person that doesn't look too hard.

The issue with that, I think, is they get a big dopamine hit off of individual superchats with big numbers.

Warski screaming "Let's fucking go!" doesn't work as well if you get 100 subs cumulatively from 20 "individual users" as opposed to two 50 sub superchats.

I actually just figure it out. I clicked refresh on the last steve stream 75 times and I was able to move the views for 16.3k to 16.4k. I was logged in on my kick account. anytime some refreshes a stream or clicks off the stream and comes back is treated a view. I also did it on one of steve's streams to show it in real time.

So it's not actually viewers, it's views. So rather than "faking" viewers like Cozy & Rumble, it automatically counts every view like old youtube used to, therefore artificially inflating all streams.

Sadly, competitors are either ideologically driven and just don't have the multibillion dollar war chests to even start to compete or they are just beholden to a different set of multibillion dollar interests. In regards to faulty view counts and the like, it would be better to have no mechanism than one that malfunctions. Either way, the true number is unknown, but it's one less feature to cause problems/embarrassments. Some bells and whistles need to go if you want to free yourself from the ideological grip of the industry leaders.

To any vaguely normal person, 3 seconds (3 minutes if we want to be extremely generous and overstate it) of attention on an internet program isn't worth more than the average hourly earnings of the average American (which would be generously estimated at 30/hr, but is brought up significantly by the high end outliers). To a paypig, it is. They play stupid games and win stupid prizes, but they're too dumb to realize that their prizes are inherently worthless.
