I've noticed that, at least in fiction, the best writers have varied and unique life experiences while people who haven't done anything aside from getting a b. lit and attending writer's workshops struggle to produce anything that isn't bland.

I still don't understand how there can even be a 'journalism school". Like, what, you just do the 4 years and then when you get your sheepskin you're now officially a reporter? That's like if they called music school "popstar school". How does it make you a journalist?

I can't recall if threatening to kill a guy with hammers is what finally got Bluesky to add either the block feature or the ability to ban people, but either way I'd say Bluesky factually doesn't have a death threat problem, it has a death threat solution.

Kevin is actually too much of a coward to openly say what he really feels. He's almost existentially terrified of getting banned or added to a major blocklist on Bluesky, so he constantly vagueposts. Like, he knows well when the block feature was added and how it works, and his "final solution" to the death threat problem would be banning anyone he or his pals disapprove of.
