A Georgia appeals court on Thursday disqualified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from overseeing the criminal election interference prosecution of President-elect Donald Trump and other defendants.

But the Court of Appeals let stand the indictment against the defendants, who are accused of crimes related to their efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in Georgia’s 2020 election to President Joe Biden.

The ruling overturns a Fulton County trial court judge’s ruling that allowed Willis to remain on the case despite arguments by Trump’s attorneys that she should be disqualified due to her romantic relationship with the top prosecutor whom she had picked.

Case may not be technically dead, but it's functionally dead.

Like how the Bengals can still get into the playoffs this year if they win their last 3 games and 2 other teams lose all 6 of theirs..... Possible, but ain't gonna happen.

You can't prosecute the President on the state level, putting cases on hold for 4 years and waiting to meet him in the White House parking lot in 2028 with cuffs seems like a 5th Amendment violation to a speedy trial to me, probably a few Justices would agree, and most importantly? There's no more public appetite for this kind of lawfare*

The fact Trump got even MORE votes after being indicted? And even MORE after being convicted? And even the POPULAR VOTE? Should tell them their grand lawfare plan has failed and you should quietly bow out while you still can.

* Uppity negresses from black districts will never see it, though, and will have to be removed like this for process mistakes as they'll never ever learn the lesson.

Good on the appeals court for slapping that big fat Fani. They should have dismissed the case too but I'm not surprised they punted in order to make that a political decision, not a judicial one. With a little luck, Willis' career will be circling the drain right behind this court case. Maybe she'll be able to wrangle a Star Trek cameo like that other fat woman.

Ask Mercedes Carrera how that’s working out, although I guess comparing Trump to an accused child molester is disingenuous. Either way Trump could have a speedy trial if he wants, he just has to resign lol. I dunno it’s all dumb theatrics at this point, no Trump in a jail cell for those Mueller fanatics.
