It's not like there are industry standards but I imagine a lot of these trannies and e-thots are both 1. not doing anything that would make them decent for the high end market (they're ugly--and partly because of bad grooming and style, uncharismatic, and typically uneducated or even when they are do not put that into practice) and 2. do not understand how to find and work johns that have any fucking money. To them this is a larp more than a way to get ahead out of desperation. It's simply another thing that's seen as transgressive for them to do, so they do it.

For the most part paying for sex isn't what is actually for sale because that's actually easy to get, especially for someone successful with money, especially if you're talking men with other men as they will simply do most anything with each other for free. It's why most male prostitutes are of the sugar baby variety since sugar daddies explicitly just like being "generous" and that's the point of it, not just the availability of sex.
