Mega Rad Gun Thread

Sorry, the @ didn't work in my notifications. Yes, I bought it optics ready as I foresaw my eyes giving me shit. As for recommendations, the only thing I want, that I'm not sure my current model has is co-sharing sights (I think that's the term, when the sights align the red dot and the dot is not much higher) but honestly I don't know a lot about red dots and I don't want to give bad advice. If I pick a red dot, I'll have to make sure the sight aligns with it, or I'll buy new sights.
If it's optics ready from the factory it'll have tall enough sights to co-witness with most red dots.

SKS DMRs, with Filipino rebels:
Looks to me like a copy of the NC Star dust cover mount. The one in the photo has an extra hole but I'm pretty sure its still dust cover mounted. There'd have to be a relief cut in the stock/chassis in order for a side mount to fit since it gets drilled a tapped pretty far down below where the stock ends.

I'm not sure, here it seems more like a smooth dust cover with possibly a side mounted rail and a one-piece optic mount. But it's hard to tell.

This was sufficiently islamic so I had to share:

This comment was pretty funny though:
- 2066
- Stationed on Mars to quell a rebellion
- Become side door gunner for atmospheric dropship.
- No miniguns or gatling cannons, just some metal brick with a pipe on one end.
- Get sent in to extract some wounded.
- Reach the evac zone and come under attack.
- Hoards of rebels charging in with their new plasma guns and compact rocket launchers.
- Let loose a stream of bullets.
- The sounds of the rebel's screams are nearly drowned out by the heavy "Kachunk chunk chunk chunk" of the machinegun.
- The wounded are loaded up and returned to base.
- Inspect MG afterwards.
- Thing was made in 1942.
- Tunisia, Italy, and Germany are scratched onto the gun.
- Scratch "Mars" on with a knife.
Maybe not M1919s, but I fully expect Browning M2s to eventually show up on Mars, especially if the Chicoms somehow get there first.
🤔
Or maybe... the smaller M1919s might actually be better for Mars, given the smaller size & weight of ammo, plus lighter gravity. Then figuring in the thin atmosphere, and any .30 would probably have more than enough range & punch to make some cosmonauts suck vacuum. Just keep the .50 for the aliens.

Finally bought a new recoil spring and firing pin spring for the little ladyfinger. Armi Galesia Brescia in .22s/.22L.
Interesting little thing, found it under the floorboards with the WW1 S&W. Was the wife's daily carry till she got serious about it.
Thing is just finally wore out enough that it goes off every now and again when you pull the trigger, all light strikes. So hoping this'll clear it up.
It's fun on a bun, all steel, well made. Will take a 10 round 22s/l mag. Takes up the same space as a pack of smokes without as much bulk. Think it'll make a neat little vest gun.
Deep enough concealment I think I could tape it to my undergrundle and no one would find it during a strip search.

If only the mags weren't so fucking expensive.

Dude, I feel your pain a little bit. I've been fixing up an old Springfield model 84 C- that my grandfather had languishing away in a corner of his basement. There is no way I'm finding the original magazine and I've only seen ones for similar modles that are $30 to $50 for a 10 rounder.

Anyone have recommendations for IWB holsters specifically for Glock 26? Seems a lot that comes up in searches are G19 holsters that happen to fit G26s.
