"The Decline of the West" is required reading for every serious ethnic nationalist, though it is addressed to your "nation" in particular and is most illuminating in that regard. Let me warn you, it is not an easy read, as it requires a deep understanding of history, religion and culture to be comprehensible, and it is written in the typical German academic fashion of being as obscure and impenetrable as possible. As it is a work of the 1910s-1920s, it requires you both to apply your understanding of it forward through the next 100 years, as well as being aware of where Spengler is incorrect (as opposed to just not getting it and saying he's wrong, which most people do).

If you are struggling to understand how the West (European Civilization) got to this point, and what paths there are going forward, it behooves you to read the unabridged edition until you understand it, as bunch of other very well known Germans read it and took the wrong lessons, accelerating the decline.

Well, it is kind of essential for understanding the big picture and figuring out a long term plan (I'm talking generations here).

It's not necessary really for your own personal life. Marry, have as many kids as you can support, form an intentional community (i.e. a Church or affinity group with shared traditions, practices, rituals and an ethos), practice a polite form of Taqiyya and withdrawal with the wider world, and don't eat the cultural or intellectual goyslop or waste time (like, say, engaging in internet slapfights with people who aren't going to change their minds). It's worked for the Amish. They're one of the fastest growing demographics in the United States and they're white, though the whiteness is just incidental to their historical circumstance and not something purposely chosen by them. From what you type here, it sounds like you grew up in a quiet rural-ish area that is now not-so-quiet and not-so-rural due to foreigners settling there. However, that does not mean that the rest of Western society was always like this. The historical record shows quite the opposite.
