Artcow SamanthaPrater / EruzaArto / DefyingGravityAgain / Emily Nicole Cassidy / Willowtheway / Uniloax - Special Ed Art Thief and "Big Bonned" Attention Whore; Perpetual Liar; Cucumber Princess; Negligent Animal Abuser; Twice Investigated for Murder

Before Samantha Prater comes in and ruins it all, it’s been a really good day for actual art advice. All those that joined thinking this was about improving art actually got your wish today. It’s cool seeing everyone’s art. I don’t draw, but if I did, I would’ve learned a lot today.
Her real name is Emily, Samantha Prater was a highschool classmate of hers. So she even steals names!
She probably won't be on until a bit later. It wasn't a 48 hr all nighter so I doubt she's manic but she tends to pop on at midnight to 1 mst.

It's never too late to start; I'm not entirely incompetent at photography and digital editing even though drawing isn't something I do. I don't have a tablet but of late I've been testing and experimenting with brush settings and program options to see if I can get something I wouldn't mind using my mouse with. We'll see if anything comes of it.

Just got to find the time and experiment to find what does and doesn't work for you. Also have to be able to acknowledge and learn from your mistakes unlike a certain someone.

You can get a tablet and pen at best buy for 50$, plus programs. Only downside is the programs aren't permanant, just 80 free days.

It's fun to draw. Remember when making art was about fun? Emily doesn't remember.

I like to think of it as a fun hobby. Try because you want to try. Hell, I know I'm an idiot and have no clue about the many features of Clip Studio Paint but that won't stop me from looking at Street Fighter 3 sprites and trying to sketch Ryu.

The surest way to get me to never use your software is to either make it a subscription model or not include it in the initial purchase. Unfortunately, the computer hardware fund is currently being budgeted for something a tad more costly as I'm rather interested in seeing what Stable Diffusion is capable of producing once I'm no longer using a GPU from 2016.

That's because it was never about drawing for her. She just wants the attention and asspats. She doesn't care about the craft, she doesn't practice for the sake of practice; everything she does has to be shown to everybody, and 99% of it is stolen anyway. She wants all of the reward for none of the work.

Just in case I'm busy with family, happy early Christmas to everyone (except a certaincousin and kitten murderer)
May your holidays be merry and the good Lord bless your new years! Have a cute holiday teddy I sketched.

I gotta say, she gave me confidence in my own art. I can sometimes be a bit disappointed by my drawings but I feel accomplished that at least I know how to draw.
I call it the Scalfani effect, when someone is so shit at something that it makes you feel really good about your own abilities regardless of skill level.
Anime is often my favorite thing to draw because of how cute they are.
And I love your angel, it has very adorable energy. Good job.

Aaaa I love it! I love the axolotl-frill-lookin' things! angelotl... I like the folds in the fabric and the simple yet very cute face. Something that I love about art is that even if a piece doesn't turn out the way I anticipated, I still made something from nothing! I put a piece of my brain on paper! That's pretty neato, I think. It's okay to be disappointed, but never sell yourself short. Every sketch or doodle is a stepping stone to greatness if you're not braindead like Emmy-poo is!
Anyways, here's proof Emily stole MY centaur first!

I legally can't fake programs so this proves I was first!

ok but genuinely this could be high fantasy cave art of a centaur herd's shaman, I love it. The different line thickness adds a stylistic flair that I appreciate

She doesn't just steal art, she steals names? What a surprise.

I think this is a universal feeling for every artist out there at every level. The trick is to channel the disappointment into improvement; there's an underlying cause behind what you make, something creating that feeling, and if you can identify even one of the things causing that then you've got something to try to work on. It helps to be specific in your self-critique, going "it's all wrong" or "it's bad" isn't specific enough to be useful. As an example:

I'd work on the wrap on the head so that the eyes actually look right, and I'd get more extreme with the hand and actually have it overlap the forearm so it's properly foreshortened (this is just straight on from the side; I didn't push the illusion at all which is an enormous struggle). It's helpful to itemize things like that, or try to think on a sketch later and prioritize whatever you can remember that bothered you.

It's always a good advice. Whenever I get disappointed in my work, that only incentivizes me to try more and more. Much like learning languages, I may end up disappointed if I cannot read a sign in another language I am studying, this only gives me the incentive to study more. Everybody has it's errors, even the best artists do.

Emily on the other hand is way too afraid to try drawing anything without tracing despite the fact that whatever she puts out is fucking shit even when she traces. I can imagine Emily may of cried like a bitch when she received dumb ratings on answering a math problem. If she were to learn even an easy language like Spanish and Italian, she would just drop down and cry trying to figure out "Como estas" or "Come Stai". All Emily ever succeeds is sitting down and farting all day while being a whiny cunt.

The following videos are not mine, but show proper examples as to why Lamby is the tracer, and I am not. What Lamby does in the SP video IS tracing. NOT Pose Blocking.

She's Gaslit you all into thinking otherwise, I DO have more of these. I have made sure to include some from the program Lamby uses which is Paint Tool Sai One.

Stop trying. Just stop. this drama is old. I've pointed out FACT now.

leave me alone.

She's Gaslit you all into thinking otherwise,
Considering I've never talked to Lamby, that's crazy, A+ top tier gaslighting. Excellent job Lamby.
I DO have more of these.
For some reason, I don't think people care nor are willing to watch
Stop trying. Just stop.
Nah
leave me alone.
Then stop coming here dumb ass.

You'd think after several years, you'd learn your lesson and poof off the internet. Instead you keep coming here to get shit talked and roasted. Just proves you are literally retarded
