I can explain, but you guys won't like it.
First, there's objective reality, and motivation matters legally and for profiling and policing.
Beyond that, there are more important issues.
You see, if this is pinned on Islam, like the grugg lowest IQ right wingers want, it will implicitly be a pro-Israel, pro-Jewish position, which is (IMO) intolerable. Anything that dunks on Muslims tends to lean really hard into a Zionist world view. Minus actual, smart right wingers that judge this by genetics and ethnicity.
Second, usually when we Europeans dunk on Islam, we do it from the left. We say Muslims are bad because they are chuds, misogynistic, violent, male supremacist, hard right traditional, patriarchal and so on. That is not tolerable either, because it implicitly says that Europe is a tolerant, progressive society that should oppose the "savages", when (IMO) Europe needs to become more "savage" and relearn an us and them mentality that we had for millennia, so we can take care of ourselves first.
