I've been rewatching the vids on his channel and it keeps bugging me. I made a post last year with the Geist vid about "Bi-Brow", a term he probably picked up on his discord from the tranny jannies there. The thing that bugs me is I think I'm seeing through the facade. Katie doesn't exist yet "she" fawns over Max Payne, a reference in Postal Brain Damage to a giant dildo that sounded almost personal.

I've gotten this image from watching his vids so much that he's a bisexual male who presents himself as the 40 year old boomer yet keeps a patreon discord that's strangely clean of smut yet will censor the word tranny and probably votes Democrat, which means he could be a member of the alphabet community.
It's the juxtaposition of the games and things he covers mixed with the hidden faggotry that makes me suspicious. He could have a hidden discord somewhere. If he does, he's not linking it on patreon and he's gone 6 years or so into a Youtube career without a leak or drama.

I don't really get the joke here? His videos are YouTuber Video Essay™. It feels more like him showing contempt for the parts of his audience that don't appreciate people like hbomberguy.

The video itself I couldn't finish. I turned if off after 30mins. The whole tone seems off, it feels like he has a grudge against Valve. It's ok that he doesn't like HL 2 but all his criticisms come from a place of deep resentment and the way he presents them feel so mean-spirited. Normally his videos are at least fun in the way they take shots at "bad" games. This one feels like he is in some kind of depressive state and he wanted to lash out against something.

You might have had a point if Fallout 1/2(and New Vegas) weren't the only good games in the franchise. No, Bethesda games are all trash and only one of them(barely) even classifies as an RPG, this isn't a debate no matter how much the mere mention of Obsidian/Black Isle makes you cry. I will take F1/F2 gameplay over Bethesda's looter box non-RPG approach, you know how I can quantify this? Fallout Nevada fan project, which is a "clunky" isometric title like F1/F2 blows anything Bethesda officially made and all fan projects in 3D entries out of the water. So no, you're wrong. Feel free to post about this in the Fallout thread where you will continue to be corrected.
As for Half-Life 1/2, I never really liked one or the other better. Both are just as influential in their time, and frankly both have just as mediocre FPS mechanics compared to other games at the time, it's all just a matter of taste which one you like better. Considering how wrong you are with your Fallout analogy, I fail to see what you mean with your Half-Life one, or at least I never met the kind of player you're talking about.
