I really, really do not think that these drones are Chinese. I think that this is the latest "but what if it's..." hypothesis angle like the Iranian mothership. If Russia was still considered a halfway-competent great power rival then they would be screaming about Russian drones. I get where you're coming from about the Chinese and I agree with it entirely, but on this specific phenomena I really do not agree with you about the origins here.

Take this with a grain of salt, but my brother in law works as an MP at picatinny arsenal and gave me some inside info. They don't know what the drones are for or from, but they just got anti drone equipment to start doing something about them, so expect headlines soonish. TBH drunk at family Christmas party, so again, take with salt.

I don't believe the quantity of the stockpiles is public record, but considering our armaments industry is better described in terms of "cottage industry of artisans" rather than "mass industry" like what existed when we were the arsenal of democracy, it's safe to say that depleting it was not a smart move.

For the record, again, I do not believe this phenomena is any way related to foreign adversaries or even our own Government (primarily) so I don't think it's relevant, but just so you know.

I actually am going up north on Monday to visit family. My brother won't allow me to spend Christmas posting about Chinese Aliens. He is much more sensible than I am.

I did intend to stop until I had the realization that it might be China.

At the very least, if I'm not full schizo right now, the north is going to be the place to be anyways.

Not that that brings much comfort to me emotionally.

Apparently a nearly identical thing happened back in 2018 that I just became aware of. Important for everyone following the NJ drone thing to watch:

tl;dr, combination of hypervilgiance + hysteria led to things that weren't there. Not saying this is 100% the case for NJ, but I think the Gatwick drone incidents share a commonality

China is absolutely trying to one up America. That being said. I just find the idea they would try a direct invasion as massively unlikely. Sucidal even. As powerful as China is, America is far more powerful in every possible metric. It's honestly blaffing how much civilians understimate America.

If they tried an invasion, and this is a huge IF, Taiwan would be a bigger priority over the continental United States. Put yourselves on China's shoes. What could they possibly gain by angering the most powerful nation in the world?

China is playing the long game by trying to rule the world through old fashioned economics and politics. It just doesn't make sense they would throw all out of the window for a direct invasion. Or to troll random New Jersey citizens.

Every Chinese person I know uses real estate as an investment. Real estate and precious metals are two of the only worthwhile investments one can make in China: you'll have people mortgaging a condo before the thing is even built. When they come here, they continue to purchase real estate, because they look at it as a safe, profitable investment.

None of these 'Chinese-owned farms' has a single Chinese person on it. They're all leased out to the farmers who actually work the land.
