I played it and I beat it, not the extra sides because I got bored by the time I got to that point. I didn't find out that the creator was a tranny until years later.

The kris and ralsei one is actually interesting though because it's heavily implied through easy to miss subtext that Kris actually doesn't like Ralsei and would rather be with Susie or Noelle, literally forced to be shipped with Ralsei by the player and/or Toby (it might even be making him uncomfortable because Ralsei presumably looks just like his brother.)
And since Tobykike likes to make meta-games, doesn't that mean that "Kris' freewill" is being put to question? If he likes Susie, then what compells him to be with Ralsei? "A magical, unknown force from beyond, known as 'flanderization'"?
The compelling force is you, technically. There's a whole subplot about Kris fighting your control but needing you for some reason or another. You're the one who makes him hug Ralsei during the photo shoot sequence, or makes Ralsei blush by standing too close to him or making him hug in the tutorial or whatever... You can actually make Kris hug Ralsei a lot, which makes it really funny when at the end of Chapter 1, Asgore reveals that Kris doesn't like being hugged.
"Queer Humour" isn't a very good descriptor for awkward in-your-face gay subplots.*
combine that with the fact ralsei obviously knows a lot more than we do and seems to be aware of the player enough to intentionally provoke situations where we stop focusing on kris, something is seriously up about him but there's just not enough information.
I liked his old design better because the frazzled fur looked absolutely scrunkly. Now he's too clean and smooth.
