As much as I agree with this characterization, I think Nick has contempt for anyone who crosses him (or who he perceives as crossing him) to the extent that his personal biases probably lack passion the same way he lacks the ability to care about anyone but himself. Being a woman, black, fat etc. are all just pretenses for his 'right' to discredit offhand.
