On the contrary, using VMWare is one of the very few things he did right, he learned one lesson from his video on Terry and TempleOS to get the best OS running

Yes, and you require powerful laptops to run Kali or Parrot, not the ones that are commonly distributed among the regular populace. In most organizations, you have to pull teeth for a “developer” laptop which might have the ability to run a virtual machine via Hyper-V or whatever your company supports… and then you might need an EPM solution (or if your org is like the Wild West, who cares) to ensure that you have to proper permissions to mount and install the image.

This guy probably sounds smart if you’ve never worked an IT job

Exactly, using VMs in the workplace complicates pretty much everything not including performance costs (just getting a VM to be as responsive as the host takes a lot) so it's pretty much only used where there's actual benefit or reason.

I would have just agreed with your post instead of replying but the mention of kali linux reminds me of when he recommended it for fucking deep web browsing and privacy. This was a really long time ago and for anyone who doesn't know it's a linux distro that comes with 1000+ hacker tools and at the time they made the administrator user the primary user, so if you ran some random script it would be able to do anything. It's so insecure that if you try to open the tor browser as the root (admin) user it will tell you "no, stop this right now" unless you forcibly remove the part of the startup script that checks for this.

I'm sure he doesn't do this now but Jesus Christ that's him being retarded and le edgy hacker phase. Honestly Mutahar as a lolcow might be boring most of the time until he spergs out and starts moralfagging but poking fun of his technical incompetency and delivery style is something I can get behind.

As someone who has to occasionally use a VM for some arcane processes at work I can safely tell you they’re a pain in the arse, ruin your productivity whilst using them, and confuse the fuck out of normie office staff.

I don't remember him recommending Kali Linux for his deep web stuff (It's likely that I just wasn't there when he did) but if he did that's fucking hilarious. However, it looks like he has changed his song and dance because now recommends a general purpose "lightweight Linux distro" as shown through here.

Granted this is 9 fucking years ago by now it's basically "here's how you browse the deep web using TAILS but I'm l33t so I use Kali Linux". I'm sure we've all had embarrassing takes or statements 10 years ago, but if you're going to watch a tutorial on how to be safe online, maybe the guy who started making sonic.exe videos and edgy deep interwebs videos is the wrong choice, even if he's got 4 mil subs, probably best to do your own research and find someone more qualified.

I can't confirm if he did because I'm not the type to remember what sponsors a Youtuber takes (And if there is a way to find mentions about something in a Youtube video then I don't know about it) but not for a second that I doubt he did take a sponsorship from them. I do vaguely recall something about Honey in videos from around 2019 to 2021 since that's when it was the new thing to take sponsorships up the ass from Honey. But for Muta, he already sucked off Gfuel during that time so I guess he never needed other sponsors (Remember to use code "SOG" for 20% off your next Gfuel checkout).

In hindsight, getting retards to gigafry themselves via meme distro is incredibly funny and the role of retarded pied piper deserves more respect.

I think that’s actually one of the more irritating things about SOG, he’s like a lolcow with Roomba pathfinding. He’ll hit the edge of funny, turn around, and trundle on toward some other slightly humorous gaff. Self aware enough to recover but not enough to course correct. He’s the king of nothingburgers.
