Thank God i decided to play Metaphor. At least their writers manage to create a more authentic story and writing then those suckers
I'm stalling on getting that one because i have this feeling we'll get a "deluxe" version down the line, but im curious; Now that the dust has settled, is it really as good as it's been hyped up?

Man, why is everything so shit these days? This isn't nostalgia speaking. I've been watching shows and playing games (specifically Origins) made over a decade ago and finding them unbelievably better than modern slop, complete with actually doing new or politically incorrect shit. Is there a single goddamn game anyone here is looking forward to? Really think about it. What was the last time you were looking forward to something with no ill suspicions?
You can sell people into slavery you can give two children souls to literal demons you can order one of your companions to stab someone in the face for no reason other than he disrespected you.

The elven God's are behind me aren't they?
Worst reveal ever it literally justifies discrimination against the elves the elves deserve to be treated like second class citizens and be enslaved they created the dark spawn.

It doesn't need to be more deeper than dark spawn come every 400 years you beat them with stick

Imho it is good. The story has some twists and turns and in a way has a "refined" Persona-esque combat and companion sysstem (and the ambush music is just sooo good) But on the downside there are no romance options which is kind of weird in an Atlus game

Honestly, I just like how it's lower stakes than yet another "Fate of the world" game. A succession crisis is a big deal, but the world will keep turning no matter who becomes king.

The most strange thing in Woketard is the time skip.
In three game we have 10 years, only to skip forward another 10 years.
What's the point? Where's the Inquisition doing all the time?
Why everything.

Oh, a lot happened in that 10 years!
  • Qunari culture completely dismantled, and half of them go off to serve a knife-ear god because why not.
  • Slavery vanished in Minrathous, around the time it became a cyberpunk city.
  • Blood magic all but vanished.
  • Liches arose and formed the Justice Lich of Nevarra, a super sekret cool club with liches that look like a glowing version of the Mondoshawan from The Fifth Element.
  • Isabela found pronouns, fucked Barve, and decided to form a society of not-treasure-hunters that locate treasures respectfully and only take them if their sensitivity consultants deem that no culture is harmed by such action.
  • Morrigan developed amnesia and forgot that she was ever involved with some loser called the Hero of Ferelden and that she might have begotten his spawn. She also lost all semblance of the fashion sense that she developed during her time in Orlais.
  • Dorian had gotten strains of hepatitis and HIV and looked like he was one IV bag away from total death.
  • The Inquisitor developed a fondness of her pajamas that she wore during her game and never changed out of them. Her mental faculties also devolved until she could only babble about the power of friendship overcoming every obstacle in la-la-land.
  • Lace Harding somehow became even more incompetent and her mental prowess degenerated to that of a 13-year old fujoshi.
  • Taash grew up to became an entitled piece of shit that expected the world to revolve around her pronouns. She also looked like Patrick Weekes after a massive fat loss from a heroin bender.
  • Everyone in Thedas developed the vocabulary of a mentally stunted child trapped in grown-up body, who developed their English vocabulary from being terminally addicted to Reddit and X.
  • Thedas became super purple, like it had been raped by the color out of space that came from the depths of the void that is Patrick Weekes's leaking rectum after his wife's bull had done a bender on it.
I may have missed a few things, but Thedas had been nothing but a party in that 10 years!

I know Morrigan's Origin outfit would never fly today due to the male gaze or whatever but her Vanguard outfit gets more confusing the longer I look at it.

Why is she wearing two bras, one of which is worn over her stomach?

What happed to her breasts? And how is the bra staying in place if there are no breasts to support it?

Why does it have puffy sleeves like a buccaneer shirt?

Why does a dress have spikey shoulder pauldrons?

Why is she wearing a kilt over a pair of pants?

What the fuck is any of this?

With southern Thedas kind of dead, doesn't this mean Tevinter is the most powerful nation in Thedas now/again?

That is not good thing, last time Tevinter was tricked into going to the Black City. What is next? Wake up the Titans?

I found a concept art that one version of Dragon Age Dreadwolf had the Hero of Ferelden come back as a nearly ghouled creature that cannot talk and tells (writes to) the protagonist not to let Morrigan know. (L/A).

The Art of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has a lot of great pictures and seem like an entirely better game than what is now Veilguard. Assuming that Bioware could make something close to the artbook's version (spoiler: they cannot).

  • Awakened Darkspawn Mercenary!
  • Divine Victoria leading an Exalted March against Elves (and Solas too I guess)!
  • Calpernia companion!
  • Dwarven exodus to the surface due to horrifying nightmare monsters!
  • Solas brings back a Titan!
  • Submarine hub-base?

while far from perfect it's definitely better then what we actually got.

It's a cool concept, but isn't even logical.
In Inquisition, the quest of cure the calling had some mentions of both Fiona & Avernus to how they are so old and still living.
I mean, if the game tracks about killing Fiona (siding with the templars in Inquisition) and killing Aventus in Soldier's Peak, maybe that could be possible a HoF dying.
But if not, why HoF still fails the quest?
This is more specific if you consider both Morrigan & Leliana romanced talking about helping HoF after Inquisition in his/her quest of the cure.
A fucking witch knowing about old rituals & a awesome spymaster who got information from everywhere.

More reasons of why Woketard is still fanfiction to me.

sequel trilogy luke skywalker shit

to be fanfiction the people who made it would have to be fans and it's very clear that everyone involved in it absolutely hate Dragon Age and all it's lore. what do you even call a fanfiction by non fans? hatefiction?
Hatefiction would be a great term we can use to describe these types. But it’s really modern writing from leftists activists.
