he's just clueless about what his audience wants to see. His old cooking videos were some of funniest stuff he produced but I don't think he understood that, I think what goes through his mind is like "I made an entertaining and informative cooking video" and the message gets lost.

Why overdraw your bank account to begin with? Doesn't he know how much money he has on it to begin with?
He really needs to put up a budget, the way he throw money around and expects others to give him more is highly unhealthy and stooopid.

Yet again he comes with the projection, "many other Yters does it, but i dont", i am still waiting for him to actually come up with some proof of this.

Well that business degree is worth allot indeed.

I agree with a few of you that it is just utterly silly. How can he not make a budget, haven't his parents taught him the basics of a budget. Hell if you want to automate it there are websites that do it for you. Just fill in the basic details and out rolls how much money you have left each month. Or you can download excel spreadsheets FOR FREE.

I am happy he dropped his 4K goal. That goal is PATHETIC! Though it was a good laugh! You can't even stream half decent 1080p content on Twitch and he wants to push it to 4K? Oh so silly.

But his new PC goal. That is another piece of waste. And lets not forget if he doesn't reaches the extra goal everything goes bills. BILLS being whatever he wants to spend it on. He doesn't really puts a wall between business and private life. Not in how he deals with people nor with technical issues like money.

Nobody in chat believes his redemption run of Dark Souls and nobody believes that the extra money goes to a good place. Well maybe a few people, silly people, people like BSV! Bless their hearth but wow they can't smell the bovine excrement.

2017, it is bringing us many good things.

They are most likely there so that his big donors will "donate" more, so he gets more extra money to throw away on fast food, trip to LA, DVDs or online card games.
Just as with the "new camera goal" where all the supposed extra funds was supposed to be saved towards a camera, yet when it came to the end he admitted he hasn't saved any of it and wasted it all.

In other words, by making higher goals, he's trying to get people like BSV to pledge even more? People can waste their money how they want, sure, but BSV could do anything else with that money, even if he wants to see Phil keep going just so people can milk lols from him (And even those are nearing diminishing returns), that's still alot of money he could've used on anything else. Hell, even alcohol is better waste of money than Phil.
Also, "What happens outside of forums isn't the concern of forum goers", nice going, KG, what about those people he has accused of being 'detractors' out of the blue and got people banned by simply mentioning it? Just like his lord and saviour, he fails to see any kind of problem with anything he does.

I dont think DSP has ever heard of a savings account. His GF basically has no bills so why don't they just put the money she makes every week into a California vacation fund?

Oh right, he has to pay his bills!

I've learned a few things regarding personality traits.

Firstly, you attract people with similar personalities and traits as yours. Same with the values you consider important. Second, the people you choose to associate with will begin to affect your values and traits. Spend time with someone of high moral character, and you are more likely to pick up on their traits and values. KG, BSV, and DSP all feed into the collective paranoia about the detractor bogeyman. It doesn't surprise me that DSP's closest and most hardcore fanboys would be similar to him.

Spend time with shit, and you eventually start to stink.

Maybe they can't match the raw technical expertise of Sony's and Microsoft's teams anymore and feel they need a gimmick to stand out. There are only so many video game console engineers capable of producing a AAA system after all.

The issue was Nintendo was basically losing. And losing badly. Besieged on all fronts by the end of the Gamecube era with the rise of mobile gaming, ultra-high def gaming and the rise of the "bro gamer" when we went through the mid-2000's cavalcade when every game seemed to be a shoot-em-up, Nintendo was really at risk of going the same was as SEGA.

The WII completely reversed their fortunes in that it broke into the wider gaming market bring in a lot of casual players who bought it to play stuff together while drunk and stuff like the wii fit board. To the point the Wii was the only console at one point that made money per unit.

They then fucked up with the Wii U which is technically another console but nobody bought it because they thought it was just an upgrade, so nobody bought it.

I personally like the look of the switch, but that's just me. I like the idea of having a controller than can snap to the screen and console proper kind of fun.
