Forking over $200 bucks and filling out forms proves nothing. The parties can just donate $200 to "disenfranchised" voters and help them navigate the paperwork to create loyalist voters and we are back to the same problem we are now. With universal suffrage at least I get to keep my $200.
I agree but that's sort of the problem with any sort of franchise requirement is that there will always be people helping people who agree with them qualify, and hindering those who disagree. The problem with every system is that their will always be people trying to break it.

Frankly the founding fathers new fangled elections are a terrible Idea we need to go back to sortition no unlucky person should hold office.

Because it's a dumb question. If hypothetically it gets that bad (and the homeowners don't vote on a solution to this problem) and land is needed to vote people will start gunning after the company. If Luigi is seen as a hero for shooting an insurance CEO imagine the guy who kills anyone involved with the company preventing you and your family from owning a house and voting.
It is not a dumb question. Your solution is to kill people you don't like. Guess what: that's a two-way street. The powerful people with all the money, all the land, all the houses, and all the votes will have plenty of thugs to keep retards like you in line. Joe Schmoe will be happy to get a big discount on renting his home for his family if all he has to do is beat your ass. All you will have in that scenario is your dick in your hand and a dunce cap on your head for espousing such a foolish political position. This is basically how Medieval society worked. Those powerful people were called lords, Joe Schmoe was called Sir Schmoe, and you are called a serf.

My name is on a title and deed, so it's not like I stand to lose anything if I wake up tomorrow and only landowners are allowed to vote. However, not owning land does not mean that you do not have a stake or vested interest in a country - economic, military, and social policies affect me as much as anybody else. Land ownership as a requirement was gone before the Civil War even happened. More time has passed since the end of that requirement than the amount of time it was a rule. You cannot appeal to tradition because it's not a tradition and you cannot say things were better because this was when most people died of smallpox and tuberculosis because they didn't wash their hands. Get your head out of your ass.

Even the land requirement can be gamed. "I'm going to divide one of my many 200 acre plots into 1ft x 1ft parcels and quitclaim them to the niggiest nigs who ever nigged a nog." Unless we fix the collusion between politically-motivated asset managers our utterly kiked jewdicial system, additional qualifiers will just be another round in the game of legal whack-a-mole.

I don't need to, I'm a citizen of the United States of America, the vote is my birthright. The Supreme Court already killed the Poll Tax you illiterate retard with reason. Either we all vote or nobody does. Fuck you faggot.
You would have nothing without voter suppression and gerrymandering. Embrace it (though, maybe not publicly).

Disenfranchising household servants, sharecroppers, tenant farmers, day laborers, and apprentices is feudalism, there's a reason it was being killed off in America almost immediately after the Constitution was ratified. Imagine looking at a ranch and saying, "Everyone who works here except the guy who owns it should have no voice in government, that's what America is about." When only landowners vote, the landowners collectively act to keep their boots firmly on the necks of everyone who works for them.

If you want to be the liege of a land baron, go back to Europe, because apparently everyone there is thirsting to be put back under the yoke of tyranny, judging by politics there.

You're retarded and seemingly not American. Nah, I like the system that gave me Trump 2
Trump can't do anything without an extensive judicial bureacracy and congress behind him. The wheels of the American government are greased with dirty money, and Trump is no exception.

Oh and the entire Baja California peninsula. Never sat right with me that it wasn’t ours.
The United States planned to get Baja California after the Mexican-American War but a failure of the diplomatic variety in the treaty process that ended the conflict prevented this from ever coming to pass.

Trump got in barely. This system also brought us a drunk deadbeat VP (who served under a senile POTUS) that barely campaigned and she still got 48% of the vote based on zero policy.
The system is broken and with Trump we are at a point where we need some serious changes or we are all fucked because no other Republican can repeat what he did.

We have the 2nd Amendment for a reason. If the system is broken beyond repair are allowed to burn it down and start again.

Now I am curious, when do you think think the American political system functioned the best?

You can't afford $200?

Forking over $200 and filling out forms absolutely proves a lot of things. You are underestimating just how poor and stupid Americans really are. For one, mandatory voter ID would prove US citizenship and residency. Ballot harvesting costs time and money, and especially when trying to get poor people to vote. If you made it even as much as $200 to vote, you'd significantly depress voter turnout.
I swear I thought you were making the argument in favor of the NFA tax stamp for silencers and machine guns. Those are $200 too. Only a fool still supports that fee.
