YouTube / YouTuber Autism / YouTube Commenters / YouTube Comment Section - Things that are worth laughing at but not worth a full thread.

I was about to post this as well.

How it works:
- When you use affiliate links, you will see massive URLs with lots of tracking shit in it.
- If you are not careful and post such links online, like on Kiwi Farms, sometimes it is possible to find your account through the link (this is possible with kickstarter). USE A URL SHORTENER. USE A URL CLEAN-UP TOOL.
- Typically the information in the link stored in cookies decides who gets the commission.

Top level tl;dr
- This thing is nothing short of a scam, they replace cookies with their own ID to get affiliate commissions.
- Honey gold / Paypal cash gives you a little bit of cashback on purchases which is typically less than a dollar. They do the same fucking thing with this extension. If you checkout using or wanting to be awarded honey gold, they pouch the affiliate token as well.
- If you checkout with PayPal via the plugin, the same happens.
- LTT knew of this for a long time, they chose to keep quiet -- not informing anyone.

Why does this matter, they are only making $single digits from the purchases.
- Many millions of such purchases are made everyday.
- Now these plugins are editing cookies to steal affiliate gibs, what else can they do?
- You think you're supporting a smaller channel you like, but instead, you're feeding the singularity of one of the most devious and horrendous companies on the planet (PayPal).

Edit: had a retardation moment and typed URL shortener which is something that exists already.
I'm confused on how nobody made a stink about their affiliate link making no money earlier. Youtubers must have been making something off the affiliate link, so does it only change the cookie sometimes or does Honey send youtubers a portion of the money made piggybacking off their link?

This is the funniest possible scam, I had always figured Honey must sell the data of what was in peoples shopping carts to make their money, but fucking over youtuber is the infinitely more based option.

Capital One has a coupon rewards extension thing for chrome too I wonder if it also replaces affiliate links.
I don't really consider that a scam it's kinda a given

Having an affiliate link doesn't mean people will use it. It costs nothing to get one, and it can only generate money. So any month where there is a drop in income can just easily be chalked up to "Well, I guess not many people wanted anything after clicking the link this month"

Sure and that makes sense for small channels, but a popular youtuber with a million views a video and they make $0 because NOBODY used the affiliate link (for a product that actually seems kinda neat) is is a red flag so big anyone can see it. This could be juicy drama if the big channels are in on the scheme.

LTT noticed because he's secretly part jew and smelled the money being stolen, but other big Youtube channels didn't notice because they are too fucking dumb to read what checks are being thrown into their bank accounts.

The whole Honey debacle is extra funny to me because Nerd City shilled them in a vid and was super moralfaggy about how Honey is a good company and definitely not a scam. I'll try to find which vid.

Have some heartwarming autism as Will Keith, fat swordsman and waterjug slayer of the olden YouTube days, rides again after falling into homelessness and despair.

So it seems we got another person faking content for clout. This time it's Tyler Oliveira, and Vince Montage exposed him.

Considering that J Aubrey is also doing a video on this guy, what are the chances of there being a thread on Mr. Oliveira down the road?

MKBHD is making the rounds again, but this time not for a shitty wallpaper app that was so bad it poisoned the comment section of his iPhone 16 review.
No, it's a sponsored video where he tries to blur out his lambo's speedometer, which was going nearly 100mph in a 35mph zone.

Except, he neglected to blur out the passenger panel which gave away the speed he was going at.

Even more egregious, there was a sign viewable from the video warning about children in the road.

For people who don't want to watch the full video, someone on the YouTube sub-Reddit (which is blowing up about it) kindly made a TLDW.
Marques got a little shout out in the newest Louis Rossman video in which he talks about "influencers" at around the 13 minute mark.

Two pedophiles talk about how AI CSAM is all good and can't comprehend how a pedophile who admittedly sent the real thing should be in trouble with one person calling them out needing their HDDs checked. Video where the comments are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whACbBa5pd0 View attachment 6782128
Pedos continue to be retarded, more at 11. If the ai was trained on real images, chances are that includes real CP. Thus the 'fake' stuff it produces will still be real enough and should still be illegal. Not to mention, when ai gen gets good enough the images would be nigh indistinguishable to CSAM anyways - not a good box to let open.

Certain people are so hyperfixated over trivial subject matter were they make 15-30+ minutes videos about topics that could be explained in like 3-5 minutes thanks to the wide access of information the internet has to offer, adding a lot of padding in their content. Or worse; Their entire channel revoles around that topic which have like 100+ videos about it

I'am not saying that every video should be YouTube Shorts but the ability to explain complext topics in a brief and clear manner is something to appreciate.

Brown tech infomercial man MKBHD provides his 2024 retrospective
I've cut it to the only bits anyone gives a shit about

Addressing the shitty wallpaper app "Panels"

Addressing the action cam 96 MPH speeding controversy. Says he's learned from it etc.
Personally I find it insincere, he obviously knew it was wrong at the time as he blurred the speedometer. This is just "woe is me I got caught" and next time he's going to triple check footage before publishing evidence of his reckless disregard. He should have his license shredded.

This guy is like JP Perry's lesser-known brother. His voice is so similar to JP's, too. He makes fake movies with his crayon-colored paper puppets, just like JP Perry. That's like something I'd do if I were a child.

He didn't even bother correcting that misspelling, and the way he draws stars isn't any better.

I'm not sure if he should have a thread, though. He doesn't get much attention. He's only at 24 subs, and his most popular video is at 484 views. My favorite type of autists are the ones that roleplay as production companies and make fake movies, movie trailers, TV shows, episodes, etc.

Here's another trailer he made.
I love how he even fakes the reviews and ratings, he has a noticeable ego even in his fantasy world.
Here's his movies, if any of those trailers intrigued you for some reason: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLox72XEjoBCRBdir2pAGtGrx27lYiJdWt

Update: OH MY GOD HE HAS MULTIPLE CHANNELS
I found his main channel, and this is his most popular video.
Forget the shit I said earlier. This guy NEEDS a thread.

That video was pure cancer. "Tyler is a liar because he shows multiple clips of niggers committing crimes, but they weren't from the town he was investigating!"

The Youtuber Framerater has officially retired having found God, ala Haedox

I really liked this guy's stuff but he's always been a bit.... off? Like the guy deletes and reuploads videos constantly, has five secret channels and made documentaries about everything from his own false abuse allegation to Your Favorite Martian. I wonder if thisll lead to him deleting his channel
Speaking of Haedox...
Crossposting from the YouTuber Commentary Community thread
Semi notable video game reviewer Haedox, after years of not posting new content and being a broken crying mess over being SA'd by a man, just posted a video saying he found god and converted to catholicism, disavows all of his old content, confessing he stole footage and plagiarized from other reviews, wants to fully move on, gives his viewers the "come-to-jesus" speech. He also privated/deleted all of his channel videos except for one Sonic review and a livestream.

I couldn't find many mentions of Haedox on the forum, which is surprising considering his cowish tendencies the last few years.
