Show: Dexter's Laboratory
Episode: S4 E7c
Year: 2003

Writer(s): Bill Wray
Director(s): Don Judge Chris Savino

One of the biggest issues with Dexter's Laboratory's revival seasons besides its flanderization of the characters and dumbing down plots is the radical shift in artstyle. After the show was brought back in 2001, 3 years after cancellation, it received a whole new artstyle that fell right into the uncanny valley. I always felt Dexter's Lab's style was meant to emulate the streamlined designs of cartoons from the 1950’s and early Hanna-Barbera cartoons like The Flintstones; however, with this new style, the design got more rough and crude alongside a darker and muddier color scheme. Just so you know, the writer of this episode worked on the original Ren & Stimpy Show as a major player, so I can see where the episode in question took its inspiration from... for better or for worse, and this episode proves why the new style doesn't work in what the show is trying to do.

Being someone who has had to live with glasses most of my life, I can understand Dexter's frustration with them, given how inconvenient they can be. My problem with a lot of episodes from the newer seasons is that the plots became very predictable, and I could easily figure out the trouble that would come from whatever Dexter was going to do or whatever. I know giving yourself laser corrective surgery is a terrible terrible idea, and Dexter's forced screams of pain show that Candi Milo, while an alright actor for Dexter, was nothing compared to Christine Cavanaugh, and may she rest in peace. Thankfully, they do have the decency to cut away when Dexter staples the glasses to his head and inevitably zaps his eyes. But now things get bad.

This episode outright made me grateful for my glasses and imperfect vision! I always heard laser surgery fucked with your vision, but in Dexter's case, it makes his vision TOO PERFECT down to perfect molecular sight! In short, it makes to so he can see even the tiniest hairline imperfections in everything, even his family as you can see the above image! The problem here is that they aren't ugly enough. It has a similar effect to what The Ripping Friends did in that: even though the monster forms of Dexter's family may seem uncanny, they don't really look ugly when juxtaposed to the show’s style. If they were in the original first two seasons, I could see them being hideous, and that might make the episode actually worse, but at least the effect would be complete! It's kind of like Mr. Pickles put stylization to its characters: they'd actually kind of look worse, and a large part of their appearance is just making obnoxious sounds.

They could've done A LOT MORE if they wanted to try and gross us out with super-magnified visions! Yeah, I'm upset because they didn't go far enough in being gross! This is just lazy and stiff. For one, when Dad does the whole blowing out his nose bit, have the snot be more visible! Not super chunky, but visible and mucusy. Also, Dexter's "ugly" form was a letdown. So, does him being a slug trailing slime imply he's wetting himself? I don't get it. I really did expect a lot more from this episode and feel like someone who just got back from seeing a dull ass B-Movie.

Star Diapers EXPOSED on Omegle (NSFW)

I've mentioned through the grapevine a certain website known as Star Diapers. This is a website known to sell a diaper brand known as Racecar Diapers meant for older kids and teenagers with bedwetting issues; also a common commodity for certain TBDLs/ABDLs all around. However I have been informed that this website was run by pedophiles, and what I found out through an anonymous source will SHOCK YOU!

My source took some amature Screencaps of an Omegle chat of who he believes is a bona-fied child model for Star Diapers; and if what he said here is true, it's absolutely horrifying! Keep in mind, I'm not a cop nor do I hope to gain anything from sharing this information, I'm only hoping to keep others more informed about a serious issue. If you MUST spread what I'm about to show you, please don't mention me, although in posting this to my journal I realize I'm out in the open, but luckily I'm relatively unknown, so whatever. Brace yourselves:

If there were another way to get this proof out I'd have done it, but this is the only way I know of. As an ABDL myself I'm absolutely DISGUSTED that those kids went through such sick conditions! I just want you all to know that we of the *BDL community are NOT at all interested in children and what went on here was wrong on every single goddamn level! It's a shame because this business could've helped a lot of poor kids with bedwetting problems, which is very common even today...

(edit: to protect the name of the boy in the chatroom and the boys he mentions, part 16 had been removed until further notice when I can edit out the names).

(edit 2: reuploaded with Part 16 censored to blur out any of the names of the victims).

It's kind of funny how he's worried about how these people may be pedos yet he himself is one. (Sorry if you're sick of this guy, but he's just so good.)
