What makes you think that? There are plenty of tech workers who could be working at Meta, Google, Amazon if they wanted to, but instead they work in smaller tech firms that still pay incredibly well, but have a good work-life balance. Not everyone wants to grind for more money, especially people like Luigi who have money already. At a certain point you begin valuing free time and flexibiliy some of these jobs offer way more than you do money.
