I wanted to forget about this guy since I was fed several of his videos a few years back. Nothing bothers me more than self-aggrandizing know-it-alls claiming things about the universe without any expertise or experience or useful evidence, then running from that bailey into the motte of "it's just a prediction" or "I'm just a guy on the internet!".
If you're going to make Alex Jones-level predictions - you'd better be entertaining like he is, because otherwise you're just a broken coin-operated crystal ball. I remember getting similarly annoyed at Extra Credits and for the same reasons.
Then recently, I start seeing one Rudyard Lynch appearing as a guests in other shows I watch. I hear him getting mentioned by the oddball psychology sex-dating guy who draws pictures hoe_math, and then he did a recorded interview in meatspace with John Papola of
Dad Saves America on his YouTube channel.
I know Dad Saves America is kind of a mid-level, pasteurized American middle-upper class conservative show - and actually has less visibility than Rudyard, but the man is insightful, and I watched as he haplessly took this kid on his show and asked him serious questions about his predictions in "Incel Revolution" while Rudyard just hand-wringed his predictions, sweating bullets "I mean, I don't know how civil war will unfold in America!"
Watching him get brutally exploded by the host asking pointed questions and hearing his answers (frankly, the kind of answers a 24 year old kid would give when he realizes he's in too deep) straight up embarrass him actually did make me chuckle.
Lynch's show reeks of a lot of inexperience, but backed by a lot of business savvy - something I presume is supplied to him by his rather upper-class upbringing. It's a shame he has absolutely nothing of value to say - because I think, judging by his twitter, his lolcow destiny is certainly inevitable. He really hasn't gotten out of high school headspace. I'm sure other casters and shows I listen to are going to take Rudyard on and pretend to take him seriously which is kind of entertainment in itself.
