Look up basic facts before making shit up. Most of the jobs for x and Tesla don't have any degree requirements. Only a few stuck up retarded companies care about education in tech. Noones going to turn away a competent engineer if they never went to college. I've worked with plenty of good engineers that never studied CS.

The bigger problem in the industry is that fewer companies hire juniors or new grads. It's especially an issue now since the economies in the shitter. Hiring a junior is a net negative on your productivity for at least half an year. They require time getting mentored by productive employees. It's also hard to realize equity from investing in juniors since they are liable to leave once they a better offer. So there's perpetually a glut of junior and new grads while there's a shortage of seniors. Bigger companies are essentially performing charity by hiring and training junior engineers elons companies are the type that only hire seniors.

The best thing that happened at my work was when they figured out that Poles and Serbs and other eastern europeans charged the same or less than jeet companies like TCS wanted.

They can actually code and understand design. When I tell them "x is bad because of y" they remember the y and make sure z is informed by that. Jeets dont. If i pick up a contractor i can move immediately if i see signs of intelligence and fire them in a heart beat if they prove they are retarded.

Also in house hr recruiters are some of the most useless and retarded people in a company I will have an open rec for a staff engineer role and they tell me got 20 fucking applicants total 2 months. And this is a fortune 50 company.

I am legitimately curious what environmental factors produced Indian culture. Computer Science is one of the most popular majors and enrollment is limited for capacity reasons at many schools. We have more CS grads today than at any point in history. It’s a total lie that we have a shortage of software engineers.
