Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This At Home was probably the quintessential wrestling game that could have competed with WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain if it was marketed correctly.
Honestly that game was way more fun than it had any right to be and you never hear shit about it it seems like, it was pretty uniquely fucking late 90s/2000s vibes, like IIRC you could play as the guys from ICP lmao. Also a staple of the wrestling games of the era was being able to create your own characters, no idea if the newer Smackdown vs. Raw games even do that. I quit watching WWE around the time Stone Cold started to become a rare sight but I still enjoyed the hell out of the games despite not knowing half the fucking wrestlers. My friends and I got probably hundreds of hours of entertainment out of Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth over the years because we spent so much fucking time making people we hated from school in the character creator and beating the shit out of them or having those same characters face off against the Slim Jim guy and Goku among other whacky characters in a Royal Rumble. Shit was hilarious, watching Triple H pick up the fattest black man custom character on Earth and throw him off of a ladder or Stone Cold beating the shit out of Peter Griffin.

The Smackdown vs. RAW and WWE 2K games still allow you to create your own wrestlers, and to download other people's created ones. However, downloading other content is removed once the WWE 2K servers for a game are shutdown, and they shut down the servers every 2 years. As an example, the WWE 2K23 servers will be shutdown next month.
Creating your own wrestlers was also part of why AEW Fight Forever didn't sell as well, because the creator was VERY limited, and most of the other features, aside from the wrestling itself, was lackluster.
What's funny is that journoids were constantly praising the game upon release on 2020, then they stopped once the videogame equivalent of the Antichrist was released on the same year. Makes you think what made the game so special that journoscum were praising it to such lengths.
Difficulty for a strategy rpg is fucking pitiful and pathetically weak, even at the hardest difficulty. This ain't Fire Emblem despite holding so much influence from it. I'll say it before and I'll say it again, majority of Vanillaware is shit (and 13 Sentinels is their worst).

Nigga just replay older FF games if you want a strategy rpg. I'd recommend Fire Emblem Three Houses and XCOM2 but those two tend to piss purists off so don't bother.
Also, for 13 Sentinels, to call it an RTS is a fucking insult to actual RTS games (i.e CoH 1, WCIII, classic and Red Alert C&C and DoW, including Soulstorm + Unification mod). I'd even put it close to DoW III tier of shit.
I've been an aggressive Fromslop enjoyer for years but I have to admit with each game that comes out "Zanzibart forgive me" is starting to annoy me and more and more.
The Soulslikes I've been enjoying more recently have been games like Lies of P or Code Vein that have a more straightforward narrative style. Are those stories good? Not really, especially Code Vein but at least there's some nice window dressing with character development, a villain, an overall goal that you can listen to while you grind out bosses.

Elden Ring was my first Souls like game. Never played any of the previous Souls games that were released by From Soft. It had everything i like except for the gameplay. Love the lore, art, and characters. But i get frustrated with the gameplay. If I was in my teens or early 20s, i would probably like it.

I had fun with it, but I'll admit that I was only like 1/3 through the game before I figured out how to abuse the XP boosters and such to powerlevel through the field battles outside the final area near the start of the game (where they warn you not to roll up). Like I haven't even done anything in the snow area and I'm not even done with the elf area and I can beat up the dudes at the castle no problem. I haven't picked it back up since because I think I'd just wind up getting bored with how leveled I seem to be now. Granted, game was fun up to that point. Hope there are more like it because it was a fun spin on things while it lasted (and quite pretty).
Personally I think 3H gameplay is weak, and boring. Its highest difficulty is just toploaded with being miserable ala Awakening until it plateaus out and becomes fine. For an FE fix I personally recommend Engage randomizer. I've found it to be incredibly fun.
Finally someone else gets it, it's just weebshit. Shadow the Hedgehog is described using very similar language to a Tyrant because it's all weebshit drawing on other weebshit.
Thanks for the recommendation, I really enjoyed the Roman timeloop game "Forgotten City" so Returnal should be great. I've got too much of a backlog right now, but when it hits -75% off, I'll get it.
remembered this post, control is free right now on epic till the 26th (second time actually).
thread tax: even if it's epic it's worth grabbing. you can claim it via the website and then use something like legendary so you don't have to use the dogshit launcher at all.
I thought it was okay for the challenge. It didn't feel too bad because so many other recent games have absolutely dogshit gameplay. The highlight for me was the dungeon crawling element with Legacy Dungeons, I didn't give a fuck about most of the bosses. The game became a lot more enjoyable when I actually paid attention to all the RPG elements and then respec'd from DEX to STR/FTH to stack all sorts of buffs and do a Lion's Claw for like 1/5th of a boss's HP.
Fuck that faggot shit about "LEVEL 1 NO ARMOR JUST A CLUB I'M SO GOOD!". That's like saying everyone should care about the Special Olympics. I much prefer seeing countries try to smuggle ungodly amounts of performance enhancing drugs into their competitors so we can really see what the human body is truly capable of.
I've replayed KOTOR 1 and i can't fucking do the light side path, it is really the most evil shit i could ever think of:
Somehow, not killing someone, but instead mind raping them into oblivion, filling their mind with a entire lifetime of fake memories and then tricking them into being set off in the hopes your subconscious guides you like a torpedo into blowing up everything you once were and everything you ever built in your life is the good side?, i can't really think of any worst fate,at least if you die, you die with your identity, the you intact, not even demoni9c possession is a evil of a act to do on someone, at least the devil is only hijacking the body or puppeting the soul, they don't format and rewrite the soul into something else
At least, mass effect, barring some cringe dialogue options has a far better good and evil system, because it's freed from the star wars shitty concept of a always evil vs always good duality, you can choose to be a idealist or a pessimist pragmatist.
Lucas should had written the force as something neutral, a power of nature, something like harnessing the wind or some shit and let the actions of the characters define them, like in every single comic book or metaphyisical powered character ever written before and after star wars.
Star Wars is funny in that way because a lot of LS options have terrible future implications. Like sparing that guy in SWTOR who gets his rocks off by hunting natives.
