WhatifAltHist / Rudyard Lynch - History youtuber, galaxy brained, no credentials and no sex

Haven't really heard anybody talk about this, but I think it's pretty relevant. In Part 2, he talks repeatedly about how he's currently having financial struggles. He says he used to be rich and is not anymore, and that money has become tight because he's run his channel into the ground. He claimed in previous videos that he has multiple employees, and now he says he only has one (a manager, who clearly isn't earning his paycheck, by the way).

I think the stress of financial hardship could be what prompted all this.
Mentally unstable, psychedelics, stressful financial situation, dying channel and getting bullied by evil kiwifarms... Winning combo dude.

The entirety of "RW twitter" and adjacent spheres really ought to; there's so much overlap that gets glossed over - and it goes right into the heart of American politics, the future viceprez being separated from most "posters" by perhaps 1 account. They're so entangled in everything that it's probably possible to trace basically every lolcow on the internet at this point as at least a distant orbiter of this sphere, or someone they target and attack, usually both.
The problem is that there is so much overlap and so many notorious characters it would be hard to make individual threads. Hell, Fuentes is in a subforum when he can practically have his own subforum on its own.

WhatifAltHist works because he is a cow that interacts with a ton of guys but the guys closest to his alternative history sphere are normal guys (Cody / Alt History Hub, Possible History), boring Nazis (Zoomer Historian, I think Monsieur Z), or guys that are weird but not too out of line with their subculture (EmperorTigerstar is a liberal furry but there’s a million of them).

Nick Fuentes/groypers, BAP and the whole gay fascist Greek statue twitter, the tranny they all party with, Red Scare girls and Dimes Square, gamergaters turned right wing grifters, hardcore race realists, NJP/Mike Enoch-type guys, online pagans, online Nazi Christians, etc. all interact on Twitter, discord, and real life all the time. It’s hard to keep up with all but the most notorious ones.

,boring Nazis (Zoomer Historian, I think Monsieur Z),
Mr.Z isnt a nazi, hes your run of the mill pro Trump conservative with a few caveats like wanting to reorganize the states to better reflect the US subcultures. Some of his stuff can be pretty interesting but it really depends on the video in question.

He's already spent the past few months going all-in staking his reputation on a US Civil War kicking off before April. Although this episode might make people forget about that temporarily it isn't going away. Rudyard's days of relevance were already numbered
Didn't he leave him self the escape hatch of "a decisive Trump victory may avoid or substantially delay it"? Or am I thinking of a different right wing prognosticator, that's been my position - a decisive Trump victory would suck all the oxygen out of the room but any other outcome would get wild.

I feel like he got his leash yanked by his Thiel handlers and told to delete that shit immediately. I've always taken the position of a lot of the things I dislike are done by demon worshipers, so in a strange way the occult stuff never even raised alarm bells - of course the shady guy I don't trust is going to be into demons, that's just how things are. Taking Thiel bucks has always seemed to come with a ridiculous amount of string attached; his thing that I've noticed the most is his long term effort to create a version of right-wing-homo-normatively.

Personally I don't buy it. Some of it may have been a publicity stunt but no normal person is giving a 10 hour long diatribe on this sort of thing. This is just him trying to get back any goodwill he lost as a form of damage control. His most loyal followers might buy it but the damage is already done.
That wasn’t like a Sam Hyde performance art thing, that was genuinely a man in the midst of an episode rambling nonsense for hours upon hours.
Hear me now and believe me later, in 2025 Rudyard will have more episodes similar to this.

"This might be too much information...."
Oh, oh it is.
But he totally did this for a bit you guys! He did it to own the libs!

There's absolutely no way it was a bit. You don't make 10 hours of video over the course of several days for a bit - especially when he had to have rewatched the whole thing as he adds text on screen to correct himself where he mispoke (he didn't correct where he said his dad inseminated him though lol). So yeah, probably his latent schizophrenia emerging, mixed with drugs, stress, and his overinflated ego.

Harmful Opinions is planning to cover Rudy's meltdown in 40 minutes for anyone interested

Suddenly, these young influencers come onto the scene and are pushing this crap non-stop, and it's weird as fuck. It was always the "weird leftie loonies" who pushed that stuff in the past. There might have been a crunchy granola right wing, but that wasn't mainstream. The difference is, now BIG TECH is the one funding most political campaigns, and the right wing is no exception.
The answer here isn't that there was some push towards "esoteric subjects" by "rich homosexual techno nazis", but that "political Christianity" just died. Christian conservativism was finished off in 2016 by zoomer keyboard warriors, Big Tech just saw the shift happening. All culture is downstream from reactionary incels. All politics is downstream from reactionary incels.

"Christian conservatives" themselves are to blame. If they weren't impotent swine whose main exports are resentful hicklibs and histrionic screeching about "muh devil", maybe they would have gotten something done. They're the paypigs and simps of politics. Trump can surround himself with all kinds of people who are literal freaks in the eyes of the "Christian conservative", but he can say "we dun liek abowshun" and they will clap like retarded seals and vote anyway. Not only are they evaporating, they're incredibly easy to placate. Why should the Republicans bother?

Then there's the generational thing. Just look at JD Vance: this guy comes from exactly the sort of demographic that was "Christian conservative" in the past - and he's a BAP-following, Yarvin-reading neoreactionary - it's simple. The Right simply went further to the right than Christianity. And so, that political option died. There will be no Great Awakenings ever again. Only Dark Enlightenments.

He's had this idea of a prophet figure saving a society for a long time now, at some point he decided he would be the one. (or i guess got delusional enough to believe it's him.)

"I think it's possible a new religion or entire civilization will emerge from this soulless society's collapse. If there's a Chinese prophet in our time I would give anything to meet him, fans in China hit me up if you ever see him"

[Talking about Eastern European civilization collapsing due to nihilism]: "He [his friend] thought that there' be a rise of a new Nietzschean-like Prophet who' be able to form a new philosophic form to unite this region"

You can tell, he really does believe he's an awe inspiring orator and a motivational speaker, this is not acting:

That weaksauce, cautious bang on the table is almost somewhat cute. In a pathetic but borderline endearing way.

That's not what the Dark Enlightenment refers too. Neoreaction: A Basilisk gets a lot wrong, but at least it technically gets that right. The Dark Enlightenment means the Enlightenment was dark, i.e. bad. Not that followers want to start something called a "Dark Enlightenment", something that I don't think is a thing. Unless something something hyperstition.

Imagine presenting Zoomer Historian as a boring nazi in contrast to someone like 'Cody from Alternate History Hub"
Cody's entire channel is consoom slop. Consoom low effort upload and get excited for next low effort upload.
He draws an oval with a circle on top and suddenly people think he's putting crazy work in.

Cody's stuff is entertaining and actually well researched and plausible alt history, especially the newer videos.

He just privated "Season 1" as well, shame as some of the comments were hilarious.
The best part of producing a ten hour video about your life, is when the comments univerally tell you, you're not important enough to warrant a 10 hour video. Like bro, thinks he's him. He's not that guy. Had to learn it the hard way. Parents probably told him he was so special, didn't tell him what they meant was, he's special.

I think were going to see another Great Awakening again fairly soon, primarily with restoration movement churches and new protestant movements. Now that the right is on the rise I think the tolerance of all the weird esoteric shit is going to decrease, I think a big part of that is that the down sides of psychedelic's are starting the become more apparent. This shit that was getting pushed starting around like 2014 that everyone should be taking psychadelics is starting to come home to roost. There are a lot of younger guys like Rudyard out there who just don't have the YT reach.
